If we hadn't have got Jurgen back when we did that would have been WDE.

<wonders how many people here remember that season>

Wasn't too bothered about West Ham getting promoted. Preferred Blackpool but wasn't the end of the world.

But Chelski winning... I have never felt this bad before though, never.

This is the lowest point I've had supporting Spurs. A season that started with so much promise has ended with nothing. I'm not in the 4th is a great achievement camp. While I'm sitting at work bored out of my brain on a Thursday afternoon and all I've got to look forward to is Spurs playing against some fucking team from Latvia am I really going to think about our amazing 4th place?

To make matters worse the Barry Manilow programme I was just watching that I taped last night cut out ten minutes before the end...written in the stars.

:(

Its amazing how well we doing this season, from being 2-0 against Arsenal at the Emirates in February 13 points clear in 3rd, it took until the final penalty kick of this years Champions League Final to complete the ultimate failure - & we werent even there to kick a ball.

It really has been a complete clusterfuck.

Quite simply it is not the worse day ever, go back 5 to 10 years ago I wouldn't have even dreamed that we would be finishing 4th with Chelsea needing to win the f**king CL to qualify for the competition next season.

The lower expections though, coupled with consistently poor performances though definitely was easier to handle. The longer the fall, the harder the fall.

What is Lawro or Hansen always says? Tottenham - they always let you down.

I hate that saying, but sometimes its so fucking true. Although I'm always proud of my Spurs :)

All I can say is Fuck... - Its not easy being a spurs fan... The modric saga, Chris Foy, Defoes miss, the court case, Harry for England, 5-2, the phantom FA cup goal, Martan Fulop - and then luckiest, most painfully negative, russian mafia sponsored cup run putting the final nail in a season that promised the world but gave us egg, all over our faces

Ultimately we fucked up 3rd big time, but what has actually gone right for us this season? Maybe the Fulham and Watford away games? Jesus I'm guttered...

Could see it all unfolding but not even I could picture the sugar daddy buying the European cup. It's not a bad day for tottenham, it's a bad day for football.

This season is quite possibly the nail in the coffin for me. I hate top level club football and have done for about 3/4 years now. It's only Tottenham plying their trade at this level that keeps me interested.

All i can say is "Weve been shafted - again !!" - personally the worst one you mentioned i reckon was Martin Fulop - that guy is a crook.

On the balance of the season as a whole do I feel a little hard done by? Sure. However we are still a great club who are climbing the league slowly, doing it the right way and playing some great football. I think people need to take in some perspective at the moment and just be happy we are where we are.

Very true and going back further, I can remember us being relegated in the 70's, as well as being beaten by Liverpool and suddenly realising we weren't invincible at Wembley any more...

But it does feel like it though!

The lasagne thing kicked my ass. I was in tears, granted I was about 17 then but I was in tears sobbing like a small child for maybe 2 days playing glory glory tottenham hotspur on vinyl like some demented idiot. Tonight I just feel sick and emotionally detached. No tears though.

Nah. I see West Ham as 6 points gained and although it's hard to take, Chelsea winning this should mean they keep Di Matteo, which in turn means we will finish above them next season. You have to take the positives as difficult or deluded as that may be.

Not the best day I've ever had though, that's for sure.

What happened last season then!

Had worse days personally (unfortunately too many) but football wise without doubt, give me back the days of Edinburgh and Nethercott over this, icing on the cake my brother convinced me not to bet on Chelsea for the CL (needed him to place bet for me as I'm in US) I would have won 400 quid...
