I don't think this is the case according to the latest info, as neither Lewis or levy are happy with him. To me it just sounds like a simple compensation issue and Lewis doesn't want to pay it

From a business point of view, and Lavy and Lewis are nothing if not businessmen, that sounds ludicrous. If Lewis is saying that we can't have a change of manager right now, it's because there is something more important on his mind.

if jl is involved, maybe this links to the 'big news' in the background that people have alluded to over the past months. maybe there are things happening here that are far bigger than the manager and it's just better not to rock the boat at the moment?

 Shoulda known. Where's the slap your head smiley when you need it??

Modric to Madrid for £40m would be fine by me. And monkey boy to Barca for the same. They're not gods and we could replace them. Ade, Johnson, Dzeko, JV, Baines and Downing would be a great window for me.

OK, not Downing. :)

Oi!!!!!! im happy where i am thanks.

Joe Lewis couldn't give a fuck for football, as far as I can tell!
This! I've met a very good friend and Golfing partner of Lewis once (through my job) and he said Lewis has very little interest in football and doesn't get involved with the day to day running of THFC. leaves it ALL to Levy. That was a few years ago so of course things could have changed.

I am a Harry neutral, find him brilliant and infuriating with equal measures am not fussed if he stays or if he goes just want the whole thing sorted so that the important thing, player recruitment, can be got on with as this tug of war has to be a major distraction there

I agree it needs to get sorted so that we can move forward, in my opinion with Harry in charge. Great believer in continuity especially when the job he has done so far is a good one.

Quite - but if ENIC were about to offload a chunk of shares to some Arab Potentate or Russian oligarch, Lewis would be all over it like a rash.

Really? Hmmm. I always assumed Levy was left to run the club, that's kind of the impression given in the past anyway.

Can't recall any other situation where someone said "Levy can't sack... Ramos (for example) cos Lewis won't have it!"

Maybe that is what used to be the case and something has changed in the last year or so?

Hasn't someone said recently that Joe Lewis has attended more games in the last season than all if the others that he has been in charge put together? I think it was JJ.

If that's the case then maybe he is starting to get more involved because we are finally starting to see a return on the money spent, and he is looking at whether or not he wants to spend more on transfers, and by more I mean bigger fees or at least a few players of around our transfer record in the same window.

If that is the case then I can see why he might want H to stay in charge and for him to be a part of the transfer process.

Purely speculation of course. Probably completely wrong.

Ok.........let me see if i get this right

Levy and Harry are not getting on
Levy seemingly wants Harry out but his hands are tied by his boss
His Boss, Mr Lewis, also does not get on with Harry

So people are presuming its a compensation thing......if that is the case then they surely won't be offer Harry a new contract, just an extension option at the end of next season if both parties agree, which right now seems unlikely

So we will have Harry next season, but his heart won't be in at as he knows he is not valued enough for a nice shiny new contract

Sounds like the ingredients for 12 months of treading water to me. Which financially is not ideal, so might as well pay the compensation

Or something big is on the horizon which JJ can't allude to, and Mr Lewis thinks sacking the manager now would be detrimental to that process

I'm not sure this all adds up right now!! Or at least it won't whilst we are missing parts of the equation
