Just to add my two penneth's worth, my first choice was and is Laurent Blanc and I still maintain that he is obtainable but my second choice would be to give AVB a chance.

Whilst we shouldn't be oblivious to what happened at Chelsea, he shouldn't be castigated for it and deemed a failure manager - anyone who can lead a treble winning side and remain unbeaten domestically for a duration of a season deserves recognition and if it isn't Blanc then I will be here with open arms welcoming AVB.

How anyone can see the positive of getting a Chelsea reject is beyond me.

It's a fucking disaster waiting to happen. It will be like watching a slow motion car crash.

He is a poor poor manager and we should be looking at someone a lot better.

Sometimes our club really is a fucking joke
I'm old enough to remember that we got Bobby Smith from Chelsea, and Les Allen, as a makeweight for Johnny Brooks, and Jimmy Greaves (via Milan), and Terry Vegetable, and Gordon Durie.

Based on the things JJ has said since HR was sacked, I'm still not sure that AVB will be the new manager. I don't think he would have said the new manager had the same qualities as HR but better in other ways, or that players would want to stay, and I don't think he would have stated 'secret' last night if it was AVB because he later implied that the use of the word 'secret' was him keeping it secret from us and not neccessarily it being a secret meeting with an unnamed person! Perhaps I'm wrong but thats my take

Another thing. He talks like a fucking darlick. Give the man a glass of water!

He is also seems a little too serious. Bet it's going to be a bundle of laughs in training. BORING!!!

Scott Parker is a Chelsea reject and he turned out ok!
Gallas is both an Arsenal and Chelsea reject. He's done quite well for Spurs. Childish rationale for not wanting someone.

Anyway, as for the new itk, I'd gladly take Remy up on the RW in the 433.

Bale - Adebayor - Remy
VDV - Parker - Sandro

Not bad firepower considering our budget. Yes, I'm figuring on Modric leaving. Parker sits in front of the CBs, Sandro for the box-to-box MF role, and VDV to drift upfield and support the forwards.

I'd just like him to have the odd drink of water before his press conferences. He'd sound do much better.

So you didnt want the guy who was always game for a laugh ('Arry), but you dont want them too be a serious figure either (AVB)?

Theres just no pleasing some people

Bring on Remy, scored more goals in the air than anyone in Europe last season and we are a joke in that area, would be perfect for us

Yep that's who I want.

Harry was a prick as well. Pleased he has gone but please AVB?! Come on surely we could of got one of Guardiola, Hiddink, Blanc, or even Capello would of been a better shout than AV fucking B.

You are deluded mate if you think Guardiola or Hiddink would take the Spurs job. Chelsea were offering Guardiola £12m a year. We were paying Harry just under £4m a year. Can you see a problem yet????

Hiddink is manager of Anzhi - they have a billionaire owner. Why leave them for us?

Blanc is an option, but maybe he's happy managing his country.

As for Capello... I would hate to appoint Capello, personally. He was hardly a raging success as England manager.

Agree with Remy for wing forward, lets go all out though and put all the Modric money on some real Quality upfront... its fantasy football time but lets just go with it while we still have our dreams intact...

Bale - Llorente - Remy

He's won trophies, has he had the chance to win them anywhere else? No, he couldn't of done better at Porto and the dressing room was very against him at Chlesea, if there was a problem with him at Chelsea why not at Porto?

I think Villas-Boas would be unbelievable. 12 months ago Abramovich paid £15m compo to get him from Porto and he was dubbed the brightest young manager in Europe.

sure things didn't go well at Chelsea but you have to look at the CIRCUMSTANCE as well as the end result, use some perspective when analysing his time at Chelsea.

I think the key is that at Chelsea he had to overcome big egos and an aged team , where at Spurs he has a fairly young side and no real egos. If he can pitch his approach as less authoritarian and more involving and supportive, we could be on to a real winner.

Basically we want the Porto one not the Chelsea one
