Wrreeey! I was waiting for POTL or JJ to confirm our interest. Now I can believe something concrete must be happening regarding this transfer.

Now I suppose it is down to if we strike a deal with Lyon and if Lloris actually rates us.

JJ confirmed weeks ago when Aqkayid said "Lloris nearly done" and he answered it with "not nearly" or words to that effect.

POTL is doing nothing different to what he does everytime.

Smith would not take up a squad position due to age whereas Kyle Naughton would. I have not seen either play enough to make any further worthwhile contribution to this discussion.
I thank you

Don't think squad quotas should be too much of an issue considering we only have two recognised full backs. On the assumption that we should be able to have two players for each position we should have more than enough space for Naughton.

I think the whole "Arsenal in for Lloris" stuff is just bad journalism. I can't see why The Goons would be in for him, when they have "Chesney". Would love to have the French Number 1, at only 25 as well - he could go on to become a club legend!!

Or the British media could ruin him like they did Gomes...

Which is?

Getting things right. There's too much evidence of relaying information exactly correct, without error, way before most have called it. Of course there will be times when he waits to release information (to ensure it is accurate) which may mean repeating or being slightly behind other ITK's.

I've spent a lot of time reading ITK and he has an exemplary record. I only really pay attention to POTL, JJ , Jacob, Edmonton (re Stadium) & Aqua.

If you do that you don't go far wrong.

Calm down Andy. Next time I'll add to dictionary. Not everyone can be as perfect as you.

mate i'm so far laid back you wouldn't believe it. but having seen a million people type "aqua" instead of "akqa" over the last three weeks has driven me crazy. :sneaky:

A great write up but you do assume we are going to play the Harry way in a 4-4-2 and not the AVB way in a 4-3-3.

With that system we don't necessarily need wingers, but strikers playing from left and right. If that is the case then Lennon may not even get in the side and back up for him wouldn't be required. Sturridge, who dislikes playing on the right apparently, could play the right side of an interchangable front 3 whether he likes it or not. Bale, Defoe and Ade can all score goals.

I'd expect VDV and Modric to go and Parker may be the one to start missing out if the midfield 3 are interchangable as defensive cover. That would bring Huddlestone and Sandro into the frame more, plus of course Livermore.

Hopefully next season we can encourage the defenders to pass the ball out, Caulker seems to have this ability (does Vertonghen too?), instead of someone standing beside them passing sideways to start a move.
