20 million Euros is about £15.7 million. Worth it or too much?

Worth it in my opinion considering he's a top keeper who's only 25.

do you really get a better deal by leaving it until the end though? surely selling clubs make you pay a premium as they have no/little time to then get a replacement. lyon's president sure doesn't sound like he's going to let it run until august 31st.
Exactly. It's a tricky balancing act but if we want to maximise our chances for this upcoming season, and these two signings are obviously seen as important and long-term pieces to the puzzle, it's a very risky strategy to leave it too long.

the longer we wait for these two, the more chance of some one trumping us and we miss out

Now i hope Levy announce we will keep hold of Modric so Madrid get really pissed. Hopefully this will lead to Jose breaking into Higuains and Sahins house late night, tranquilize them and let em wake up in North London the next day wondering what the fuck happened.

DO IT!

2 clubs with tough stances on outgoing transfers - remind you of anyone?

Of course it'll drag, Vertonghen took ages and he wanted to come, but it was worth the wait.

What concerns me about us dragging our heels, is the longer it goes on, the more chance there is another club will come in - possibly offering more money than us, or higher wages. It would be such a relief to get all our business done for pre-season. The thought of Lloris and Moutinho coming in, 2 or 3 games into a PL season (unknown league to them) could backfire spectacularly, especially if we don't start well - and the pressure and heat is on.

 The dreaded Tottenham Hotspur transfer curse strikes again!!! It's going to be a looooooooooong summer. My mind's been polluted by so many windows of last day business... we didn't use to do all our business like this did we? I remember the summer Arnesen signed and we were making signings progressively throughout the summer. Damn can't believe that was 8 years ago!! Where's the time gone?!

Bit of a difference between Atouba, Edman and Sapce Dilevski compared to Moutinho, Lloris and Adebayor!

Top players take time and money so we just have to be patient.

Especially when you consider most transfers are staggered over years, it's really not that bad. Would be hard not to get our money back even if he struggles with a player this young.

I would spend it on Lloris, but it may be wiser to spend less than that on a keeper like ter Stegen.
