Watching the Liverpool game on Tv in the USA and noticed that Bale is number 9, and all the players are wearing their correct number eg BAE is 32, so has Bale changed number?
he will obviously be wearing #9 next season.
I noticed that too. Anyone think he'll be pushed into an attacking forward 3 this year? Or am I reading too much into it and its just a shirt number.
i think whoever handed over dosh for a Bale shirt with the number 3 on it is feeling a wee bit miffed right now.
I don't think simply handing Bale the #9 shirt quite counts as bringing in a new striker. I hope the club don't try to spin it that way.
But now I think he may actually be given it permanently. He is a massive Cristiano Ronaldo fan, who wore the 9 at Madrid. Anyway it makes more marketing sense for him to be number 9 anyway.
