I always thought blue was Rossi (Italy) but that's the great thing with these colour links, easy to change who the intended person was.

is there any players that cant be linked with blue and yellow?

POTL confirmed before we got Adebayor on loan last season that it was him who was blue! People keep going on about this but he clarified it a year ago.

To reiterate for those who dont want to look back - Blue is confirmed as Adebayor, yellow is confirmed as Daimao!

Not when (and this has already been emphasised by Stoof) this has been confirmed.

ADE (BLUE) & LEANDRO (YELLOW).

I think the problem here, and mods included, is that this is ITK from another site. Invariably this means those that are not close do not know the full details (sound familiar?) and therefore only certain bits get reported. When out of context this can often seem vague or like the person is attention seeking. However if you are close and know the full details you will understand some are very close to the club (so much so that they could be classed as plants, in the non abuse way).

POTL is most definitely in the know, and has been so for a long time. He's been a long term poster who rarely posts, and even rarer he posts his opinions. However the small posts, that get missed and therefore don't add the context to those outside, include getting line ups completely correct, injury news completely correct, those who have and haven't trained, those that will be selected and those that wont....in addition to cryptic clues about possible signings, usually when they are near to completion.

Initially he referred to Ade as bllue when we were getting him on loan and he was correct in that instance.

Everyone keeps saying don't panic, there's time before the window closes etc - but the reality is that these players should be in now, bedding in before the start of the season. I think at this point everyone appreciates the transfer window is a difficult beast to tame, but quite frankly the fact that we're eleven days away from the start of the season with only one striker, who can't play on his own up front and is probably not good enough anyway, is borderline unforgivable. Particularly when you consider the same thing happened at the start of last season. I honestly thought we had learned from our mistakes with the early signings of Sigurdsson and Vertonghen, but the delay over signing a striker when it's such an obvious problem position is bizarre.

I honestly just think it shows that some things are difficult and take time. I don't think learning comes into it as each case is different. Though perhaps where there's learning to be done. And some things don't work out in life anyway. I don't want to sound sniffy, and apologies if I am doing, but really, we have no control whatsoever over who comes and who goes. We can guess and have fun till the cows come home and go out again with a penny less a litre, but it's fair to assume the club will do the best they can. As all of us do, as individuals, when selling, or buying, or investing. Well, just a thought.

I've narrowed it down to a list of three.

  1. Ade and Leandro
  2. Tevez and Kaka
  3. Bulbasaur and Pikachu

I completely understand the frustration and whilst we'd all love the Club to get what we need in as soon as possible, the problem is that Levy (quite rightly in my opinion) will negotiate to the benefit of Spurs to his last breath. This means that deals take longer and when you factor in that EVERYONE knows we're DESPERATE for a top class striker, the costs all go up beyond Levy's liking - especially when the kind of strikers we want are either out of our price range or want CL football.

What would frustrate me is if it comes to light we had a top class striker available for £30-£35 million, we also had an amount like that on offer from RM for Modric, but Levy chose not to just take that offer to get the striker we need (instead of holding out for the £40 million he wants) as he wanted to see more of a profit made from the sale of Modric.

With the current ITK suggesting Leandro, however, I would hope that following on from last year's interest this will make the player feel very much wanted by the club and perhaps choose to come to us now. If I remember rightly, were Man Utd not interest in Berbatov when he was close to moving to us - but as we had been showing our interest much sooner it helped his decision to come to us?

And thats without even mentioning the International Friendlies scheduled next week which means even if we signed a striker today, he'd have minimal time to bed in with teh new squad.
All ITK seems to point to us having at least on striker signed before Newcastle. But I presume our squad breaks up on Sunday for the International game, just as Sandro returns from Olympic duty, and we are left with little to know time to prepare our starting 1 for the big kick off.

I wonder when JohannesN will post something? with the amount of dumb ratings he is handing out, im reckoning not many will agree with what he has to say....

He even rated dumb the response clearing up that the 'bap bap Americano' clue was for G. Rossi...
Wow, I've been handing out a big amount of dumb ratings?? really.. 1 is not a big amount..

Can anybody explain to me the reasoing behind havin a TW that runs 3 weeks into the new season ? It really favours the richer clubs who don't need to haggle and don't rely on outgoings. Why not end it 2nd week of August. That would still give 6 weeks to do your business and, realistically, you can add most of June to do the courting you require

This.

There is no need for guessing. It simply IS Adebayor and Leandro.

I repeat.

No. Need. For. Guessing.

The information is referring to ADEBAYOR and LEANDRO.

Adhere to this please.

So on page 4, Stoof says the above and that followed with 3 pages of guessing. Nice work chaps.

*thinks about removing the last 3 pages*

Or Cameron and Clegg... We are signing the government!!

Seriously though, I understoof the president/chief/whatever of Inter to be saying that he expects the price to go up after the Olympic games. Surely this would blow us completely out of the water and if they are waiting for the final whistle, I would be even less confident of this going through.

Everything seems to be hinging on Real Madrid stumping up the cash for Modric which leaves us in the position of saying accept lower for him and use the money on Lloris, Leandro and anyone else we can get now or potentially get a bit more from Real and have the prices going up. I, for one, am glad that I am not the chairman of a football club as it does seem a very simple thing to get completely wrong.

Does anyone else keep getting the SSN Fantasy Football banner with Harry saying: "I'm back" - Its bloody freaking me out!

Yeh, i nearly shat a brick when i saw that and then underneath some info about us signing Saha again, i thought i'd just woken up from a 2 month dream where we sacked Harry and installed one of the best football managers in the world!
