Real have lost to getafe so they will be desperate for modric now.
Ok so this week we will sign players maybe not who we thought but we will sign them, that about sums it up doesn't it

Was thinking something similar - but they looked like they need him even more now.

madrid have drawn 1-1 at home and lost 2-1 away, luka will feel like he never even left.

Not sure where I read it-probably in one of the rags-but it was suggested that Stoke were worried about having to pay Hudd's wages in the event that he picked up a long term injury. Villa had to pay Jenas's wages for the full season even though he was basically crocked for the entirety of his loan.

I don't know what others have posted following your post - someone else has probably covered this.

An excellent post illustrating frustration.

I can't believe though that there is no support for AVB by DL. If you are party to the inner sanctum of the club then maybe I would go along with what you say. However, I have to believe that the manager and those in charge of the club must be working together, for the best interests of the club. It must be joint decisions. What I have seen of AVB at the moment (from reports, granted), he has seen content and happy. I think we are planning a forward progression of the club including playing staff.

If DL does not see this, or does not allow this then he has become a power crazy fool with no sense of reality. I actually don't believe this tbh. We wouldn't have got to where we are currently. I believe we will purchase the right players this week - for AVB's sake.

Its not an excuse, its factual and exactly what happened and what Chelski were told and they did it.

It was disastrous for us because our incompetent managerial team back then picked the wrong player, but if you pick the right player, and do it with a Chelsea/Man City type club it can be an effectual way to do business. It means you get the replacemnt you want without being shortchanged.

Real Madrid losing to Getafe is a stunner.

Hopefully that's enough motivation to get Modric in there to really put them over the top of the likes of Getafe!
