I'm going for Moutinho, it's clear AVB wants to be reunited, thats probably an understatement, but obviously the asking price is HIGH and Levy doesn't want to fork out the dollar.

I would guess that Moutinho could have been in the discussions when AVB was interviewed for the job, maybe a Levy "getlemans aggrement", and now he is pissed off he ain't getting his man.

He came here on the back of promises...my guess is he's been tearing his ginger thatch out at what's happening at such a late stage when he's got a system to populate and has all eyes on him in the media waiting for him to fail. The guy's under a lot of pressure.

I cant blame AVB for being upset if true.

How can we not afford Moutinho when weve just got 32m? Whether we get a Modric replacement will make or break our season.

It seriously makes you wonder what Levy and AVB actually spoke about before giving him the job...surely transfer strategy/budget would have been crystal clear to AVB?

Of course it is. If we want to, we can do it. On reports we are no more than 5m apart. It's what you do if you want to start something and back your new main man. Forget the cheapy reserve defender and GK where we are ok already, buy the fucking bloke your man wants and tell him to manage without the fucking defender and new GK. He'll probably say 'ok, deal'.
