Where's he going to play?Dempsey is also a helluva fighter, he's going to give us some great grit and leadership...something we often seem to be lacking.

Dust needs to settle first.
If someone had said 2 months ago that we were going to sign: Lloris, Verts, Sigurdsson, Dembele, Dempsey & Ade this window i'd have been over the moon. Losing VDV was the only real shocker, but then he has been looking very injury prone as of late and frankly i can deal with one shock loss.
Couldn't we have bunged them £1.2m in used £50 notes?
I know it's a lot of money but we made a profit this window after all...

MARTIN JOL blasted Tottenham’s approach to the transfer window which has left him short of firepower ahead of his team’s visit to Upton Park.
Star signing Dimitar Berbatov completed his £4m move to Fulham from Manchester United too late to be involved in today’s trip to West Ham.
But Dutchman Jol insists his side still remain a force, despite the departure of key man Moussa Dembele after Tottenham finally triggered a £15m release clause in his contract.
Jol said: “Look at Spurs, always waiting until the last couple of days, and we’ve suffered because of that.
“That was probably the reason I was a bit annoyed when we played Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.
“I don’t like that – to lose your best players – but Spurs work like that. They came up with the money and we had to react.”
Sahin didn't want to join us - he joined Liverpool because they were paying higher wages than Arsenal for the duration of the loanYes. Very much so. But so was passing on Sahin by AVB because he was forcing Levy's hand for his one target. Fail on his part too. Lots of fools at this party. Only Doris is looking okay at the moment.
Nothing is ever that simple - if we start paying their 15% at a higher price than Porto's share then perhaps Porto were going to come back and get pissy with us, perhaps the way the deal is structured means that there was no quick way to ensure that a legally binding agreement could be made (and translated and shit forget the word but legal thing that needs to be done in these cases) in time for the deal to work properly.Couldn't we have bunged them £1.2m in used £50 notes?

Jol laying into us and the way we have dealt with them!
Where's he going to play?
Someday?Makes you wonder if someday Levy will have alienated half the clubs in Europe!
Feel free to walk away from this forum buddyIf I was AVB I'd walk, this is an absolute load of old bollocks.
Why? You can't correct people and tell them they're stupid when you can't see their posts!
