not a very good start, not kept the ball for any period yet, only thing defoe had done is watch the ball bounce off him

To be honest, we really seem to be missing a controller in the middle at the moment.

Defoe up front on his own again is depressing.

not looking good so far, defoe, sandro both guilty of poor touches and Walker giving the ball away cheap.

Probably because he's only had maybe one training session since he signed and the rest have had weeks?

It's not too hard to contemplate, not that I really agree with AVB here.

We still lack players with a high level of football intelligence. The one good cross from Sigs and Bale was stood flat footed and Defoe was no where near the box when the ball came in.
