The only ones I think he'd be interested in and try for are Gallas, Dawson, Huddlestone, Naughton and Assou-Ekotto. Quite likely to get a couple of them too.

I can't see us selling Defoe in January unless we sign another striker (or two). Leaving us with just Ade would be an act of gross stupidity.

Can only see Dawson going there to be honest.
I am fairly certain Harry will turn them around to be fair as well. Good luck to him, just not too much luck. I think he will be in his element as he will have the money to do the deals he wants. Should the chairman back him, I do think that he will turn them into a decent team.

Rather depends if Harry's succeeded in turning things around by then, doesn't it? No-one's going to sign for an outfit headed for the nether regions.

More importantly, I think we should all have a sweepstake on how many times over the course of the seaon H reminds us that QPR had 4 points from 12 games when he took over. I'm going for 36 which is quite conservative I think, given that he's already started and he's not even their manager yet....

AVB had no other option initially, then it is really hard to drop a striker that is scoring, especially Defoe, who his whole career has always scored in spouts and then been dry for a while afterwards.
Defoe has value at the moment and for someone like QPR he could be worth £10m+ which is the last time we'll ever be able to get anything close to that for him.
