A point away is a point away. They beat Chelsea the other day, they've got their tails up. We should have won, but it's no disaster.

And I couldn't disagree more with the "we're shit" brigade.

Our performance was pretty good. There was plenty to admire for anyone maintaining a degree of mental balance. The stats back it up as well. FFS, we had:
70% possession
Seven shots on target to their zero
Fifteen shots overall to their three
Pass success of 86%

That's really not a "shit" performance.

We still need a proper CF, and a midfield magician. That's not 'News'. We already know that, we've known it for a long time, and it's still true. Until we fill in those missing pieces we will continue to do everything but score against these teams.

Creativity means nothing when there is no space at all. In such a tiny pitch there best option is to stay strong on the ball even in their penalty box, instead of trying to use speed. A few times we were in good areas on the pitch but should just have use body strength instead if trying to out pace the defender

I think the pitch today is virtually the same size as our home pitch.

Awful game of football today. Credit to QPR though, they had a defensive game plan, stuck to it and got the point they deserved.

Well, that was boring!

We still haven't worked out how to break down teams that play 10 behind the ball and don't attack.

People talk about VDV, but it was the same last season (especially in the second half of the season when he pretty much decided to play himself in front of our back four!) and it has been the same for the last 3 years.

What we need is a player with immense guile and creativity to play behind a striker who is brilliant playing the lone role, but who also doesn't need 8 chances to score 1 goal.

This will continue to happen until we have those two players imo.

Two hours of my life I won't get back, what boring game.

To be honest I expected plenty of these games this season, and its a surprise to me that we haven't struggled more often. We can't move the ball around well enough or offer enough options for the man on the ball. I have done this subject to death though previously so I'll leave it at that... but will say that all those who don't think we need another central midfielder are seriously misguided.

What I'm not happy with is the lethargy in that performance from the majority. If you don't match them for workrate then you won't get anything from the game. I'd say Parker tried his heart out and was always there to contest a challenge, Naughton made a few tackles, maybe the centrebacks as well when they needed too... beyond that some of them were just wandering around aimlessly waiting for the ball to come to them.

Need to find an extra gear or five for next weekend.

...Negativity and wanky knee jerk reaction from the twats...

To all those getting there knickers in a twist and crying into there beers remember;

They played 11 behind the ball on a VERY tight pitch which, if you look at all our other games there, we struggle at.

Calm down, go and knock one out and then realise we are third and will finish top four.

Frustrating performance from most of the team. Lacklustre, lacking movement and any semblance of creative ideas.

This sort of game is what costs us season after season. Ade, Defoe, Bale and Lennon were competing for who could be the most inept.

I swear for most of the second half we were playing as if we were one nil up and protecting a lead. Strange performance, really strange.

Very lacklustre from an attacking sense and this absolutely underlines our need for creativity up front.

Not enough drive to get the win and I have to say, Bale was back to his worst in terms of effort and application - certainly not good enough for someone as lauded in the media as he is.

On another note, I sincerely hope Walker is dropped and Benny is brought back in with Naughton shifting to RB as he was brainless in almost all facets of his game.
agree - please stop wasting time playing Bale on the right,... never works for Spurs...

Really poor in the final third. Comfortable(ish) in the rest of the park. Hard to say who was worst. Ade, Bale, Walker were all dire!

We really need an all-round striker to play up front on his own - Defoe is not big enough and Ade struggles to shoot.

Not quite brave enough today on a dodgy pitch that we found it hard to keep on our feet.....this made it unlikely that we would get to the touchline. Walker and Naughton not really overlapping leaving Lennon and Bale ineffective. Really lacked a passer. I would say that the problem we won't speak of is the inability of any of our centre midfielders to contribute with goals. Sort it out.

You quote stats dan but really they mean very little. Yes we had a stupid amount of shots (yet again), but all bar one or two they were from outside of the box. Cesar made a world class save but other than that he had nothing to do and the their defence was hardly stretched.

Not looking forward to United game.

Just know RVP is going to tear as a new one as per usual.

Need all our players on top form, fingers crossed Sandro is back.

So, my 3-1 prediction on another thread was correct. I don't care what you all say, or what the BBC say, or the FA: we won that game 3-1 and my prediction was spot on.

We had the desire and skill. QPR defended very well. Kept their shape and organisation.

That's what teams down the bottom should do. Well done Harry.

Nothing to be ashamed of for us and AVB.

Parker was mom for me! Ade was awful and Demblee was poor! It showed how we badly need a player who can do something different!

Qpr played for a point and got it. But we didn't seem to have a clue how to break them down.
I agree overall, but disagree on Parker as MotM,... Verts Motm and might have won it with Caulker inside and Verts on LD,....; just sayin' (y)
