Everyone seems to think Arsenal are nailed on for 3rd place, despite shocking performances they have got incredibly lucky, and surely their luck must run out soon?

Firstly...We beat Wigan on saturday and we go above arsenal by 1 point with the same games played. Arsenal then play United who will hopefully be motivated by Fergie to crush that wanker and his scum side in their own back garden. Thus meaning we are still a point above with a game in hand.

Our game in hand is then Chelsea. Even if we lose we will be above them on the same games played, with a run-in as easy as theirs. Match their results and we finish above them. If we beat wigan and get a result at Chelsea then its all good if you ask me. Believe!! (y)

Yes totally correct. From a totally impartial viewpoint we are in the strongest position to finish third.
We have a game in hand on Arsenal and easier fixtures than Chelsea. And we are better than both.

Pity i cant be impartial. Im a fucking wreck.

What happens if Wigan stuff us 4-0? >_<

Seriously though, Arsenal are riding their luck but are the form team out of all 3, so they should be favourites for 3rd. Chelsea also seem to be hitting the league form at the right time unfortunately for us.

I can see some major flaws in your extremely well argued analysis here.

I'm just taking each game as it comes.

We were favourites before but then lost at home to Fulham.

We were then outsiders but pulled off a great result against the former champions.

Things look brighter again now, but it can and does change so quickly.

Great to have Bale back and Lennon training again, but being Spurs we could quite easily lose to Wigan and then beat Chelsea.

It's going to be exciting though and I feel so much more confident than I did a week ago.

I actually agree, we can have a quiet summer doing proper training, having a guaranteed income for signings and we won't have to trek off to the Ural's to play Dynamo Cheeky Girl

Believe me im aware its all if's and but's and we are as liable to fuck up as anyone so the pendulum swings each way on a daily basis but for all the pundits etc claiming arsenal have it nailed on, I completely disagree.

Well said Sir, I like the cut of your jib!(y)

Having said that, I am ALREADY feeling slightly queasy about the Wigan match.

What? Second is still up for grabs. City concentrating on the cup, nothing to play for in the league, they collapse, we get 2nd.

Totally agree. This Saturday is massive for the psychological implications of going above the Goons. I firmly believe if we win this Saturday we stand an excellent chance of doing it.

Suffice to say I'll be shitting myself come Saturday.

Depends which Wigan turn up... They can be got at though and are pretty poor defensively.

Regardless, we need Arsenal to drop points against yanited; for both numerical and psychological reasons...

Just why do we have to play Wigan though... could be 9-1 thrashing or a 1-0 loss!

soooooooooooo unpredictable

This is true! Talking about a bi polar football team lol....they can be truly horrendous in terms of the mistakes they make, or they're capable of playing a top eight side off the park!!!

We're not favourites, that's just your opinion. Arsenal and Chelsea are join favourites, although Arsenal are slightly ahead.

Personally speaking I feel optimistic about our upcoming games but we still have the same issues that have plagued us all season. I do think Arsenal and Chelsea won't do as well as people seem to think either.

What happens if Wigan stuff us 4-0? >_<

Then I'll be avoiding SC for a few days!
