Harry is glancing at Brighton. Harrys contract at QPR is excellent.

Id be surprised if he left. Id be even more surprised if he was to leave for Everton

Rather than no-one having heard of him, it was more of a case that they spent over 10 million on him which was a huge gamble.
No they didn't journalist said 5-7m but nowhere have I seen it reported over 10

If I had the choice of spunking £15-20m on either Benteke or Damaio, I'd pick Benteke every day of the week.

How did villa got benteke when we were in need for striker in the last summer?

Does anyone else think Levy doesn't believe the risk is worth the cost on forwards that aren't proven in England. We've been so wishy-washy on the likes of Leandro, Suarez, Huntelaar, etc.....having interest but not being willing to commit. Since Pavs, it's been Keane, Defoe, Crouch, Gudjohnssen, Adebayor, Adebayor and Dempsey. We'd rather take a loan than buy or try and fit a oval shape into a round hole.

It seems that there is a fear of the unknown. Hope I'm just making too much out of a recent pattern.

I agree, but the likelihood is we would need to spunk more than 20 million to get Benteke and less than 20 million for Leandro.

He'll always go with the cheaper option, he's just a naturally tight git...

Lambert did concede that he found out about Benteke by accident as he was scouting his team-mate at RC Genk, Jelle Vossen, to be fair.

have to agree with some others here that we will need to smash our club record to get him, but a proven PL goal scorer of 22, who can still improve quite a fair bit, commands a high fee anyway. I think 20m will do.

Can't see Everton being the type to pick a manager that will require a big compensation fee. As Ryan said, Harry is on a healthy contract at QPR far more than the likes of Martinez et al
