Sorry guys been my nickname since childhood. Another favourite is yossi buni-onion. If we manage to make a signing or progress I will upload a new avatar with my white tennis socks on.

Now pls more ITK....we need this on a Saturday night when BGT is the only thing on.
Tottenham sporting life special on Talksport at 10.
As far as signing relegation fodder.. well that's going to really show Bale our ambition.. if I was gareth & we signed mcmanaman I'd b straight in with a transfer request coz really why would he waste his time with us if we end up signing 2or 3 journeymen instead of lumping those fees together & sign Dzagoev DeMarcos Negredo soldado & the like

Ince, McManaman and the ilk, I just don't get why we are pursuing these for most likely inflated prices when we've got an ever improving Townsend, an emerging talent in Cebellos and perhaps a totally rejuvenated Falque.

Unless we are going for a bona-fide improvement on Lennon then it's a pass for me.

This won't be popular, but personally I think the kid has a bigger future than Townsend. Ok it was only a dozen or so games at the end of the season but he was extremely good IMO. I was like holey shit at times.

I think his ceiling is probably that of an Aaron Lennon. And, we're currently in the process of trying to find better than Lennon (or at least we should be).

If we were playing a 4-4-2 or maybe the 4-2-3-1, he'd be fine as cover, but Townsend already is that, and if we want to go with the 4-3-3, we need wide forwards that can score. Even more so if we want to have a midfield trio of Holtby/Dembele/Sandro as they most likely won't chip in many more than 10 goals between the 3 of them over a full season.

What value would you attribute to him, or what fee would you be comfortable for us to pursue?

What I really like about Townsend is that he loves a long ranger at goal so to couple it with pace and directness makes him a valuable squad player for me next season.

Townsend impressed me much more than McManaman during the run in. Townsend is a better dribbler, better passer and striker of the ball imo. If McManaman didn't have that really good game against City he wouldn't have half the hype surrounding him, whereas Townsend had a good game every time he played for QPR.

Yeah, if AVB wants to model our squad after his Porto squad of 2010/11, we've got guys in Bale/Townsend who are left footed that are more than capable of playing on the right. The "Hulks" of our squad if you will.

Good point actually although there is an unquestionably huge Falcao shaped hole in replicating Porto 10/11 but there are more than glimpses of the grand plan taking shape.

Except our Hulk is so much better. (y)

Shame our Falcao isn't. (n)

I like the use of inverted wingers though. Worked really well for Munich.

What also world well for Munich is intelligent running from their fullbacks in Alaba and (best in class) Lahm in creating overlaps and makes it apparent why we'd want to upgrade at this position - particularly I'd actually say Benny who IMO is terrible in the opposition third.

If the talk of Ince to Palace for just £4 million is true, then I think we should be making an offer.
It's pennies compared to what Liverpool spent on largely unproven English players.....
