I thought mido retired? glad he's playing on; I liked him.

Me too, I actually bought one of his match shirts in one of those end-of-season charity auctions on the official site. The Kappa shirts were pretty snug, but I was rather surprised that he wore an XXXL! (I kid you not).

Just been reading through his tweets and it's clear he is still a big Spurs fan (pun intended), and has a lot of good things to say about Franco Baldini (who was responsible for taking him to Roma in 2004).

Falque it seems wont be sold this window, as almeria have apparently tried and said it impossible and signed a replacement instead. If we send him out on loan to La Liga there would be a lot takers but then again other than Celta, Almeria and a couple of others everybody else is being asset stripped

depends who is coming in i guess!

i worry about wholesale changes, in relation to the continuity of what was quite good last season

plus we suffered from lack of depth last season

The core of the team is still there though and realistically we're looking at 3 or 4 changes to our first team. A new striker, Paulinho in centre mid, a new left back and if Lennon isn't deemed good enough for the other wide forward spot a player to start there. Most of the bench will still be the same too, so I can't see it being that much disharmony to the team.

As for squad depth - we only lacked that in wide options, but with Bale, Lennon, Townsend returning and a new wide forward we should be sorted (also Siggy and, at a stretch Holtby, can play there to some extent). Left back was also a big question mark but Rose is returning so hopefully he'll be involved as well as another left back coming in. I felt we weren't lacking in squad depth in the centre of midfield, but more a lack of quality as Huddlestone and Parker aren't up to the task, IMO.

Jordan Archer will be loaned to the championship thats another one.
Thats great to hear, have you heard anything about a keeper in, unless of course like last season we will just recall Archer if a injury occurs

I just feel if he doesn't come back and stake a claim this season, then it will never happen.

I feel like such a spoilt child right now. We're getting Paulinho and Villa, + possibly Soldado, yet all i can think of is how gutted I will be if we don't get Bernard and his added bit of creativity.

*tries to remember a spurs team consisting of players like doherty, gardner and bunjevcevic to help remind me to appreciate today's amazingness*

Can you lock your ITK threads please, before people post in them and it looks like there's new ITK.

Thanks

Love Gomes but he's the opposite of what you'd want in a back up. Instead of steady, you'd have wild talent coming off the bench. I'd say he's in the list of departures.

Does mido count as Itk? He's just said Soldado is near to joining on his twitter page haha

Also him and Ghaly have joined a Belgian team.

I'm well chuffed for Ghaly! Hopefully he's gonna be in form for his new club.

Indeed but looking at him, it seems he will have good regardless of whatever happens, how high, all depends on himself

He needs to play though as in the last 5 seasons he has played one and a half seasons of footy both of which he has been his teams best player

Yeah, I wonder if a PL loan would be more benefical, in that even if he does well in La Liga, it would still mean a lot of adapting to get used to top flight stuff over here. Surely Palace would be interested? They play with width and Holloway likes attacking talent.

I would love if Gomes stayed as our number two...he's too good to be a number two though - even with that over zealous style of his!!
he did really well in Germany and that was despite people calling him a clown before hand, he pretty much changed everyones opinion before he broke his hand and he has been linked with moves to PSV recently

To be fair, if his IQ was as high as his BMI, he'd be able to teach Stephen Hawking a thing or two

Thanks and best wishes

A&C's cock
If his IQ were as low as his BMI index, he would be thicker than the average plank, but still more intelligent than those who - denied by societal opinion of racism and homosexualty for their ignorant remaks - still think that it's fine to make fat jokes; even when they clearly don't apply to the subject in question.

Judging by the moves the other wingers have got this season from Segunda he would be in a top ten la liga team but Crystal palace would be good

He recently was talking about his best friend (Thaigo) and was saying it will take time to adapt to England and the article said in relation to Southampton that he found it difficult there because of the language barrier. He also broke the Thiago to Utd story in Spain tbh. I think a move to Southampton would be good this time under whathisface lol

I'm not sold completely on Bernard but a creative midfielder should certainly be a priority. We missed that so badly last season. Although that would mean Sandro, Dembele, Paulinho, Holtby and 'creative person' fighting it out for 2 or 3 spots assuming Parker, Hudd & Livermore leave. That's not forgetting Lennon, Bale, Dempsey, Sig and 2 others I've probably forgot.

In other news, Stoke just signed a Barcelona kid, which is a bit like Saracens signing Tweety Pie. Dafuq.

Still unsure who I'd prefer out of Villa & Soldado but all ITK suggests Villa so yeah, him.

Yeah, Saints could be a good fit too, although they have a lot of players in the attacking areas, and look like they are spending a bit of cash this summer.

I think Villa, even at 31, will have a similar impact to VDV if/when he comes here.
