So the ITK suggests 11 out.
Gallas, Bentley and Bostock gone.
8 remaining. I can think of 12 at risk.
Gomes, Naughton/Smith, Ekotto?, Khumolo, Hudd, Parker, Livermore?, Mason, Dempsey, Falque?, Ade?, Defoe?

That would still leave us...
Lloris, Friedel, Archer
Walker, Naughton/Smith
Ekotto?, Rose.
Kaboul, Dawson.
Vertonghen, Caulker.
Sandro, Livermore?, Luongo.
Paulinho, Sigurdsson.
Dembele, Holtby, Carroll.
Bale, Lennon
Ade?, Defoe?
Villa, Townsend.

Then throw in the mooted 4-5 signings and we are laughing. A LB if Ekotto does go, potentially another CM if Livermore is loaned, maybe another winger, another striker.
Depends if the 4-5 signings includes the Croatian boys.
Theoretically a LB, Emre Can, Rebic and Soldado/Damaio?
Don't forget we signed Fryers who is a left back

Your critique of my methodology is doubtless well-meaning, but in making it you assume that I wish to be popular and in doing so must be circumspect in what I write. I couldn't actually give a fuck what those people think of me and have no wish to be nice to people who consider it to be 'cool' or funny to aim gratuitous insults at those who they judge to be in some way inferior to them.

If what I have written has upset some and goaded others into confirming themselves to be twats, then so be it. Sometimes my level of tolerance of ego-driven fools and their ignorant 'phobic' comments is exceeded.

Okay mate. That's your choice. Best of luck.

Are you saying I'm fattist? I'd say Hudd is fattest actually.

In all seriousness I doubt many people on here really think he's overweight. Just big and slow. Plus it's on an internet forum, but if someone did say that to his face I'm sure he'd take it on the chins.

Surely Halilovic is instead of Bernard?

There's no way we'd pay £10m+ for two very similar teenagers. I know Bernard is a year or two older/more established, but that's why he's £10m more.
Halilovic if anything will be a future replacement for Bale as he is left footed and tends to play as a inside right forward when he isn't playing AMC. Bernard is right footed and plays on the left. They would be fantastic in a team together regardless of Bale. I would say however Halilovic would signify the end in our interest for Lamela if we had any as they are much more similar then Hal and Bernard. If we do indeed get Hal then it would make me want Bernard even more to compliment him on the opposite wing.

Sounds like Halilovic will be staying at Zagreb for at least half of (if not the whole of) the season -IF we sign him.
If we are to start the season with a squad ready to hit the ground running in the first game, we need players who are ready to do just that. The ITK seems to be suggesting lots of players coming in, in addition to the Croats. I'd be happy to have one of the brightest Brazilian talents and one of the brightest European talents fighting it out for a starting place!

Spud, are you on a wind up or is this genuinely offending you to the core?
I like Hudd as a player (wish he'd hit the target more often but beggars can't be choosers) but you cannot deny that he is an absolute man mountain. No, it's not fat, he's a hulking brute of a man but has also invited these comments through things like the comments over liking McDonalds and complaining when the ketchup was removed from the canteen!

Not that it makes a difference, but 175lb. Just for full context. I'm 6'1". And just in case you were wondering why I'm against racism and homophopia, you will no doubt wish to know that I'm a heterosexual white male.

Happy now?

My take on the outs, just those in and around the 1st team squad..

Sell: Hudd, Defoe, Dempsey, BAE, Parker,Gomes.
maybe Ade, Naughton
Released:Bentley, Gallas..
Loan: Livermore, Carroll

A little worrying that Swansea stoke villa and co are signing all these young stars from Europe for a couple of million. Wonder why we aren't

'Cos we're in the next level up.
We'll buy the players from Swansea, Stoke etc, once they've proved themselves. Then we'll probably sell them on to the clubs above us a few years later.

We've stepped up to the next level of youngster which is hopefully, the next part of our current evolution into one of the big boys.
