Bale has in fact stated previously his desire to play in a new league at some point in his career, and has specifically mentioned real Madrid if memory servers me right.
He'll be there next season. I have no doubt. Unless we we win the league of course.

Doesn't look like it. I'm still hoping it will be done in the next two weeks. If its not done by the start of August we all know its going to deadline day.

I just don't get it though, if that's the plan. Its getting old, everybody knows the tactic. Villa will just dig their heels further if that's the case and we could end up losing out on not only Benteke but other viable alternatives as well with too little time.

I don't think it will wash with the fans this time round and although there is a certain rush to be got from a seeing a player join on deadline day, if it all goes tits up again ala Mountinho this summer I think most Spurs fans are going to be pissed.

Praying to God this isn't the plan and things will be done in the next two weeks.

I think United are panicking somewhat in that they (and Moyes) need to make a statement that they are still a powerhouse and need a marquee signing.

Couldn't secure Thiago, snubbed by Fabregas so now trying their luck with Bale.

There was an article a couple of weeks ago (when Soton showed interest) that said Leandro has 2 3rd party owners. 1 wants to cash in and sell him to a european team the other wants to keep him in brazil till after the world cup is over as he thinks they'd get more money.
This is probably what causes the confusion.

And they can try their luck all they want. More like a PR stunt to me. 60 million isn't even going to scratch the surface. Madrid would offer way more and we've told them to jog on this summer. What makes you think we would entertain selling to a rival? Bale's only turned 24, there is no panic from his point of view. AVB has said Bale won't be sold this summer and Levy is the absolute man when it comes to making statements and sticking to them.

Not going to happen this summer.

Completely agree. Very dangerous game to play too. When Arsenal's pursuit of Rooney, Suarez and Higuan goes sour they'll go knocking on Benteke's door...

Hi Mate.

I know you've said Sandro and Kaboul are in light training but I also see they're in the Asia Trophy squad. Is this for them to get minutes? I assume this is the case as not even our medical staff would be stupid enough to send them to Asia without them planning to play.

Good news Benteke is training as it shows he has nothing to complain about, he's not rocking the boat and clearly doesn't feel he has to do anything to force a move as he knows it's close and it's going to happen so he's happy to go through the motions.
Chelmsford City may well be lining up a £60 bid for Bale which is likely to be as successful as the United £60m bid, calm down and enjoy the sunshine.

If any of you actually believed for one minute, fuck it, one second, that a transfer involving a player with no but out clause would go through quickly you need to have your head checked.

Every time you get a bit of itk bait dangled and immediately you all think it will happen instantly.
Is have thought years and years of with ridiculously protracted transfer sagas would have taught you all to be more suspicious.
