Not saying I don't believe Jacob's ITK just that I believe it is incorrect.
The first statement that Perez is the only one who wants Bale is patently obviously not the case, Zidane obviously does and other players have put their twopenny worth in too, as for Ronaldo he is schooled in English football and Manchester United in particular so won't answer a direct question about Bale and because he didn't the media decided they'd interpret it in a negative way.
When I saw Ronaldo say what he said I immediately thought right son you know how to behave, mind you they'll pick you up on it.
He may actually think that they need to strengthen other positions to be able to challenge for the CL first but that still doesn't equate to what Jacob is saying.

Not to mention millions of Madrid fans apparently voting for him as their preferred transfer target.

I agree. Saying Ronaldo is unhappy about Madrid making moves for Bale based on that interview is just lazy.

Aren't you guys missing the point though, or am I? It's based on ITK information, not based on the interview. That's why it's ITK (supposedly). Ronaldo's comments would fit with that information, it is not the basis for the information.

From what I am told about the Bale situation is this. Perez wants him only because he missed out on Neymar (and to Barca!!) so went for the next "big name". The Real fans say they want Bale but only want to pay a max of €60m and would not be happy spending the world record fees quoted. Perez can now claim he tried, offered the record fee but Levy was impossible and maybe as a small present might buy Suarez.

They would be happy for Ronaldo to sign a new contract and keep the squad they have. Zidane is nothing more than a figurehead and mouthpiece used to attract players so who he "wants" is who Perez has told him to try and attract. Hopefully the fight might be up soon.

He is clearly suggesting POTL is Levy

Not sure why he thinks COYS are to blame

No way could POTL be Levy, am sure Levy has far more productive things to do than post on a message board

Probably Daniel Wayne? LoL

I was going to say the same thing, I didn't know he was respected ITK, never heard of him.
he was, didnt speak often, and mostly on sponsorship issues etc, iirc he called under armour before anyone else ( a year before it was announced i think),and also mansion and/or autonomy. dont recall him having any player itk though

Hopefully nail=head ... All sounds plausible.

This is old news.

It looked like we had Moutinho, lunchtime: JJ said something like 'welcome... Joao Moutinho' so everyone went mental it was widely reported we had agreed a fee and a few others were confident but all the while he was on a plane with Porto off to a match, Pini Zahavi was sitting in Spurs Lodge like Dracula in a blood bank and nothing was getting done until super late when it seemed like we might be able to get some registration docs though after the deadline, but it failed.

Supposedly, multiple owners contributed to goalposts being moved etc. Some thought we were posturing and Levy didn't actually want to spend others figured it was just a nightmare of a deal.

Who's fault? Who knows but it was a clusterfuck all round.

I'm a big DL fan. HUGE respect for the guy. But what the f*ck were we doing leaving that deal til the last day? Clusterf*ck is a massive massive massive understatement.

As for Jacob's info, it's want I want to hear - but not sure its factual.

tbf to Jacob, when it comes to members of the RM squad talking about Bale, they never seem to bothered, they make generic comments like "he'd be welcome/good addition" which suggests to me they are being instructed to make these comments by the RM hierarchy, are you sure respected players like Kaka and Casillas would take part in this pathetic media campaign to get Bale to the Bernebeu. ;) Not saying this is the case, just saying that's what it looks like to me

My interpretation of the Ronaldo interview, was he looked mildly irritated by it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't keen on Bale coming. Players think very differently to fans, and especially if your the number one man at a Club. That's not to say he would be threatened by Bale per se, but a record fee for a player puts them in the box office stakes immediately.

I understand Ronaldo if he's pissed off. He (currently) has the biggest transfer fee, and that'll be eclipsed if Bale is bought. His ego would be damaged hugely. Hope him being p'd off is enough for Madrid to hold off this Summer.

I don't think Bale is a good fit for RM tbh. Too much egos there and there would be huge pressure on him if he became the worlds most expensive player.

That's sort of the basis for my belief that it is incorrect, the information fits with the interview not the reverse and whilst the interview was ambiguous at best I believe it could be the route of the information.
