Unbelievable. Spurs buy a Spanish no.9 in the peak of his career, coming off the back of a 30 goal season and people still complain.

What is it with some people?

Grey Fox is passing on what he heard IN GOOD FAITH. Anyone unhappy with that knows where the door is. Or has indeed already been shown it.

Whilst I agree, I think there is merit in at least flagging what he has said on twitter as Grey Fox may not have known this and could at least raise it with his contact to see if they had a view on it (if he chooses to that is). However I agree it certainly shouldn't be used as a stick to beat him with.

Hmm this from last week

If your looking for the next manager internally look for chris ramsey or david ginola (who is set to join as a part time coach).

Tim sherwood made his interest very clear on the coaching side last year when refusing to step in to cover inglethorpes absence.

Sherwood however has been primed for several caretaker roles previously most notably when harry was facing court.

I will explain sherwoods role after the transfer window but he is above avb and joint power holding with baldini.

funny old game hey? :)

and today

Tottenham legend David Ginola has outlined his desire to return to the Premier League as a manager.

The Frenchman spent three years at White Hart Lane between 1997 and 200, playing over 100 games, as well as enjoying spells at Newcastle, Aston Villa and Everton.

"I will soon get my Uefa A license, which will allow me to coach in the Championship, and I hope to get my Pro License by 2014 in order to coach in the Premier League," Ginola told L'Equipe.

To be fair only one or two had a go, and with a reasonably good argument - we should be able to discuss the info as long as it's not bashing, right?

yes, they're injured ... what do they have to do with assou-ekotto?

Alex Segal ‏@Alex_Segal
@AssouEkotto Benny are you fit or injured? What's the latest news?

Benoit Assou-Ekotto ‏@AssouEkotto
@Alex_Segal im fit and not injured...

@basicbloke2012
@AssouEkotto how come you're not playing mate?

@AssouEkotto
@basicbloke2012 not good enough may b lol...

doesn't sound very injured to me, unless you think he's lying.

For some reason, reading this made me sad. Sad because BAE is a great character and loves Spurs so much more even if person think he is all about money, sad because he not good enough to carry us forward.

I had seen Benny' tweet and after Blake Griffin's post I checked with my contact. He said Benny still has a niggling injury from last season not 100% fit and AVB won't play anyone unless he is desperate if not fully fit. He is not sure he would pass a medical if sold

Cheer for the info! Excited to hear talk about another top class striker, most notably, and that we don't seem to be dealing with Madrid!!

As a PS the new signings and those coming back from injury will get game time in the Europa games to help with come backs and to get used to each other doubt if the likes of Sandro and Kaboul will start against Palace

And kaboul...was surprised tbh to see him play!

Who said that Dawson had a bad injury?

Im sure I saw him play yesterday.

Maybe, just maybe the club are playing their cards close to their chest. We haven't seen the much feted 4-3-3 yet. Doesn't mean it's not being coached intensely during training.

The element of surprise might just aid a flying start. Just an opinion.

I wasn't at all surprised by Kaboul and Sandro. Had a feeling they were being saved for the White Hart Lane friendly on that perfect pitch of ours.

What surprised me about Daws was him playing the full 90 after this 'injury'.
