Of course I may be 100% wrong, but Rose strikes me as a very arrogant young man.....which may not be a bad thing 2 years down the line, but for now it is.

EDIT : I may have misunderstood your response, apologies.
Just get the feeling from his interviews and performances he thinks he is better than BAE.
IMHO he is nowhere near as good.

Yeah, saw that too.
Just at the time of being subbed though, he slowly walked off, and looked like he was mumbling to himself and gave a half hearted slap of hands to Kaboul.
Maybe I am reading too much into it, but just hope that he's happy that he's starting, but gonna be a lot of times where he's gonna be subbed late on.

Capoue looked fantastic and I thought Walker looked very good. His pace is unbelievable and he has amazing work rate. His little partnership he has with Lennon works very well indeed. Surprised Paulinho was MoM but at the same time he didn't really do much wrong. Defoe should of scored! Rose I thought did OK but still unsure. Chadli looks confident and I hope he grows and surprisingly to me, Sig didn't do to badly. Should of scored as well. First 3 points, let the games begin!!!

Did you write this intentionally, because Palace at the start of the game had a big flag/sheet in the crowd with a picture of Jigsaw from the Saw films with the line 'Let the games begin' next to it. Looked weird but also pretty cool!

That is good that he thinks that not bad. I like BAE because he's down to earth but his attitude when Naughton took his place last season was like Naughton isn't a real left back, so I'm not worried. He needs competition as does Walker.

Didn't get to watch the game "live" as was at work but just caught up.
I can imagine it was pretty interesting in here at times. Plus points were Capoue who just seemed amazing, a tricky game navigated safely and lovely 3 points. Disappointed by Siggy and Lennon but alas only the first game. Feel that we could do with pushing hard for a creative player to replace Siggy in that line up to really push this year.
Overall I'm delighted with that as a win on the first day and first goal for Soldado could be important. Bring on the first home game next weekend (which incidentally is my first spurs game in 4 years!)
