Lamelas agent saying he's not in london on twitter.

Says that they are waiting to see what happens. Sorry can't link.

Yes but Roma representatives are in London I think, discussing various deals - including Lamela.

Remember, straight down the middle please. The higher you climb the further you fall.

I am absolutely not believing this (won't allow myself), until we have something really solid about either player and Spurs. I really think this is a feeding frenzy. Not being negative - just don't want to hurt too much.

Kendall - I hope the ground is all soft and feathery for you if it happens......

Common sense is to probably hold the excitement on the Lamela deal as of yet.

Willian is a different kettle of fish. He's here and we know he is. Most of Europe is reporting that we've agreed a deal with Anzhi. He wouldn't be here to discuss his personal terms as they would surely have already been done before we put ourselves through the agro of agreeing a fee with his club. Logic suggests that Willian will shortly be a Spurs player.

I'm going to calm down a bit regarding these deals. It will leave a sour taste in my mouth if there has been movement on Bale and we sell him but don't bring in Lamela alongside Willian.

Yeah this is how I see it. Willian (or whoever) is needed anyway as another attacking midfielder (to play on the left in a 4-3-3 ideally, competing with Chadli). But if Bale is sold then an additional player is required.

I would say we need Willian regardless of Bale. Lamela to come in as a replacement. As long as Lamela keeps away I think Bale will stay (hey that rhymes)

I take it you all know skybet has suspended betting on Willian? Bale's odds have shifted dramatically to 1/7 to move.

Defoe missed an absolute sitter on Sunday, we really need him to be taking those as an impact sub. It could have cost is points. I think we could do with an upgrade.

C'mon mate, first game and he'd come on about 2 minutes previous. Every striker has missed a few sitters in their time. He looked dynamite in my opinion when he came on. held the ball really well when he needed to, ran with it when he should've and generally played with maturity. He scuffed the ball slightly wide and he should've scored, but he created that chance for himself out of nothing (more than Soldado could manage) and I was really impressed with him playing the way he did from the bench. he offers something different.

be good if Lamela is more of a just in case. A new shiny player sounds exciting but in reality Bale >>>>>>>>>>Lamela

dunno if posted as its a bit hard to keep up
ali z: Guys calm down, one is closer than the other, have nothing new on Bale but can only assume we agreed a deal or close too if we are bringing in both of these guys.

yes, it was. Based on Soldado arriving on RyanAir ... I think soome people took it a bit literally lol!
Which has turned into a bit of a joke, though I don't know whether people genuinely believe Levy is this way inclined or just don't realise that direct flights to places like Valencia are not possible from Heathrow and thus Ryanair or EasyJet makes sense.

But f00k me I digress.

I agree with Scottish Spur, Willian looks possible, today even, but I think there is some way to go yet on any Lamela deal and I believe that any deal on Lamela will happen later in week or next week and may very well be purely tied to Bale.

IMO Willian is coming regardless.

If we can line up Lamela, we may well call Madrid up ourselves and confirm they're serious about Bale before pushing the button.

Yeah I think willian will be ours in the next 24 hours or so.

Lamela will be the key in terms of Bale going I'd imagine.
