We know Bale will get over the sulking, if we truly aren't dependent on Bale's money force him to stay. If JL or Levy want to see us win the league he gives us the best shot. Sure he could buy 4-5 more quality players but you can only have 11 on the pitch and currently we have one of the top players of the world at our club.
Don't understand this logic.

Of course it isn't a problem for DL, if it was he could easily sell him to UTD.
There's no common sense in it being a problem to DL.

The BSoDL must have erections the size of skyscrapers today. I've stepped over the bodies of a few who have passed out through loss of blood being diverted to their rampant stiffies just to post in this thread.
I'm with you on this - give it one hell of a good go this year and let Bale cry it off with an EPL title to his name.

I don't think Levy or the board would leverage the money they're spending on the basis that Bale may be sold to cover a substantial amount of the outlay. We've been close to agreeing transfers before only for them to collapse at the last minute, i.e. Moutinho, Levy and Co should be fully aware of the pitfalls. I think AVB is trusted by everyone at Spurs to build something special and he probably knows that he will have to deliver now. Bale may be sold but I would think that AVB has made it known to those in charge that he needs Gareth to make the step from top four to consistent title challengers.

We have sold 4 players already which should offset the fees and contracts of Capoue and Chadli. I Can't imagine we would do these deals based on an assumption that RM would stump up the money.
if Bale stays i wouldn't be too upset about not getting anyone else in. We have had a fantastic window.

Anyways. Pinch of salt in one hand please and the knowledge in the other that I should have probably goated. This is because its fairly obvious whose opinion this is.
1. Andros Townsend and Jermain Defoe are available but neither want to play for QPR this season. Townsend compares himself to Sterling and believes that he can be on the plane to Rio. fair play to him for that, but he wants out.
2. The circles with which my source () speaks in believe that Gareth Bale has not been sold as of today, yesterday or last week. Its also suggested that they expect Bale to NOT BE SOLD!!! Madrid have neither met our asking price nor provided any guarantees that they can make the payments anyway
3. My source also feels that we are spending the way we are because of an interest free loan from Big Joe. We pay him back once the stadium is completed and were top dogs in Europe. (ok I made the top dogs thing up) Our books will look A-OK because FFP doesnt prevent this kind of investment just yet
