So at present on the flanks we have Bale, Lennon, Townsend, Chadli. It looks we are about to spend £30m on Willian who can play either flank or in the middle. Then it looks like we plan to pay a similar amount - possible more - on Lamela, but he also plays on the wing? Maybe he is a Bale replacement or not. It would seem to me that its very strange to pay such a high amount for 2 players who play in the same/similar position? Or am i missing something?? i would have thought another large investment in a top draw striker would make more sense in case for example Soldado gets injured etc. Feel sure I am missing something obvious about Willian and Lamela..

We once stock RBs. Earlier in the off-season we stock CMs. And now the flavour has changed to Wingers or wide forwards.:)

Phew got through it!!!

Anyways. Pinch of salt in one hand please and the knowledge in the other that I should have probably goated. This is because its fairly obvious whose opinion this is.

1. Andros Townsend and Jermain Defoe are available but neither want to play for QPR this season. Townsend compares himself to Sterling and believes that he can be on the plane to Rio. fair play to him for that, but he wants out.

2. The circles with which my source (;)) speaks in believe that Gareth Bale has not been sold as of today, yesterday or last week. Its also suggested that they expect Bale to NOT BE SOLD!!! Madrid have neither met our asking price nor provided any guarantees that they can make the payments anyway

3. My source also feels that we are spending the way we are because of an interest free loan from Big Joe. We pay him back once the stadium is completed and were top dogs in Europe. (ok I made the top dogs thing up) Our books will look A-OK because FFP doesnt prevent this kind of investment just yet

Just seen Wenger on SSN. He actually looks mad. He's gone from "The Professor" to a laughable figure of fun. Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke. Twat.

A bit like that professor at Thorpe park, in the bubble works......he is a **** aswell

Haha... Its really a PR disaster isnt it. Us spending 100m + Ox money per minutes story + 17 players sold + one free transfer.
This is like....magic.

so some itks say defoe is available and others say ade is. so are we trying to shift them both or what? we haven't been linked to any strikers recently other than osvaldo and i can't quite comprehend that we'd be buying a striker on top of the supposed deals for wilian, lamela and coentrao.

Reckon where PL interest comes, if it comes, will tell Towsend wether he is rated like Sterling or not. Personally think there might come offer from club like Cardiff or such.

If both strikers go we will need to bring in someone else. Let's hope we are looking at Muriel rather than Leandro

wtf happened here today? I just got in and took as long to get through the RO as I usually do to get though all the fluff in the discussion thread. Fantastic. Even if none of them come off, great entertainment! Will be donating when payday comes around. :)

One thing's for certain, Levy wouldn't put the financial stability of the club in jeapordy. If we're spending, then the money's there.

Imagine bale will have a free role behind the striker, with William and lamela cutting in from flanks. With chadli and Lennon back up out wide, Townsend leaving and possibly siggy.

Joe is nearly 80 isn't he. I think it's more likely to be his kids' inheritence if this is the case!

This is ITK whoring like back in the day. THIS is what I've always wanted from you all.

I'm so happy.
Magnificent whoring all round and a big wet kiss from TSH (lips and tongues 'natch) to Happyspur for his brilliant work in keeping the Read Only updated. It's been a huge help to us as well as keeping the peasantry informed. Enjoy your snog HS!

Just to clarify that mess comment again please don't look into as it was used in a jokey figure of speech context which I obviously can't elaborate on how it came about without completely exposing myself (not in the Wenger way)

Rise up this morning......
