so some itks say defoe is available and others say ade is. so are we trying to shift them both or what? we haven't been linked to any strikers recently other than osvaldo and i can't quite comprehend that we'd be buying a striker on top of the supposed deals for wilian, lamela and coentrao.

I don't believe we will complete deals for Lamela or Coentrao without selling Bale.

As for strikers, if we can shift blue, we'll go back for yellow surely?

Reckon where PL interest comes, if it comes, will tell Towsend wether he is rated like Sterling or not. Personally think there might come offer from club like Cardiff or such.

We can't sell both Defoe and Townsend as we only have 9 homegrowners left now.

Edit: losing Bale would take us down to 8 (the minimum).

Phew got through it!!!

Anyways. Pinch of salt in one hand please and the knowledge in the other that I should have probably goated. This is because its fairly obvious whose opinion this is.

1. Andros Townsend and Jermain Defoe are available but neither want to play for QPR this season. Townsend compares himself to Sterling and believes that he can be on the plane to Rio. fair play to him for that, but he wants out.

2. The circles with which my source (;)) speaks in believe that Gareth Bale has not been sold as of today, yesterday or last week. Its also suggested that they expect Bale to NOT BE SOLD!!! Madrid have neither met our asking price nor provided any guarantees that they can make the payments anyway

3. My source also feels that we are spending the way we are because of an interest free loan from Big Joe. We pay him back once the stadium is completed and were top dogs in Europe. (ok I made the top dogs thing up) Our books will look A-OK because FFP doesnt prevent this kind of investment just yet

Two medicals booked for 24 hours. Bale deadline Friday. RM don't have cash down payment required unless they raise £40m. Slightly depends on Spanish banks but low chance. Modric to United? May all be too late. RM dicked around way too long trying to talk down the price rather than raise the money. THFC working to a plan all summer. Still nobody outside 2-3 people know plan for sure. Tight media management in total contrast to previous era. No comment, bluff, even false-ITK have been used to keep everybody in the dark. Anybody who thinks JL and DL haven't thought of end game risks is underestimating them.

Was the ITK puzzle, a familiar face coming in Willian, since he already has been shown around Enfield?

I've got a feeling (if you pardon the pun) that all these signings and the sale of Bale will either

1) Fuck us up big time with the lack of a world-class player
or
2) Be the single greatest decision is the history of the club that will turn us into one of the best.

Does anyone agree? With which option?

Well, I fail to believe that with the level of quality signings we have made that they are all going to flop, it just doesn't seem feasible, so I'm going with option 2. Who's with me?!

IF we keep Bale we don't need Lamela right? As good as he maybe I just don't see that fitting. It would mean shipping out Lennon and Townsend and leaving the likes of chadli and holtby further down the pecking order.

Hey JJ, don't want to turn this into a Q&A, but is the TV Money included in balancing the books?

As looking at what we've currently spent and potentially going to spend, compared to income we have received in TV Money and players sold, we're looking ok if were not to sell Bale

Income

TV Money - £87m

Parker - £3m
Caulker - £8m
Huddlestone £5m

Outgoing

Paulinho - £17m
Chadli - £7m
Soldado - £28.5m
Capoue - £9m

Total Net = +£41.5m

If we were to keep Bale and get Willan, we would still be up with how much we have spent at +£11.7m

If we were to get Lamela and kept Bale, we would then have overspent and the balance -£18.2m

But, if what we believe is to be true, we would be offloading the below players:-

Ekotto - £6m
Townsend - £9m

Meaning that our net spend would be -£3.2m

Also, we still have an asset in Bale that we could sell next summer for just as high as fee.
You forgot the 6m for Dempsey

You might want to add Dempsey to your accounts :)
