Steady lad - it won't be that easy - lots of work to be done for AVB

It will take time everybody.

Agree.

IMO - AVB is instantly under pressure to get this team playing. Last year I felt Bale masked a few of his obvious and persistent failings. It's time for him to earn his crust. Baldini and the Bald one have done their jobs.

You are indeed correct. We can't expect miracles in a short period of time.

But if that strikeforce lines up this season I'll be very excited.

It may just be me but I'm not reading POTLs latest utterances as Bale going. If anything the whole "can't believe this is happening" points at Bale staying with Lamela and Willian coming in. Remembering that this is coming from the creme de la menthe of ITKs, a guy who is usually both sombre and to the point, what is he finding difficult to believe? That we would sign Lamela and Willian? After the summer we have had I'm not convinced. Far more difficult to believe would be Lamela, Willian and Bale in the same team.

Is it just me?

And for the record both of the players in question are very hit and miss.

Dear Christ! As they say over here, wind yer neck in! Benzema hit or miss?!?! Really??

43 goals in 112 appearances for Lyon as a youngster. 56 in 125 for Real. Just slightly over 1 in 2 and he is only 25 years old. it would seems he is a lot more hit than miss.

Oh, am I the only one who always cries after sex then..?
No, Bill Oddie does that too. But I suppose i'd cry as well if i'd just been held down by three chimpanzees wearing top hats and violated by a bricklayer dressed as wonderwoman while the rest of the boys stood around watching whilst signing 'A Spoonful of Sugar' from Mary Poppins.

If its all as it seems and he does go I dont blame Gareth, if he ever plays against us I will give him a warm welcome, I dont blame Levy, the money banded around is crazy and we will have a stronger squad than last season - AVB and the clubs objective this summer. Hell I dont even blame RM, the players have been asked about him and of course they will say positive things about a potential team mate who so happens to be world class - the people I resent are his agent and Perez for the dirty tactics. Barnett if looking out for the best of his client would advise him to spend one more year for his development and keep a settled personal life for his family as next season he will be wanted again - he is clearly not. He wants his pockets lined and couldnt give a flying fuck about Gareth Bale the man. Perez wants him to get one up on Barca politically and again does not give one IOTA about again, Gareth Bale the man. Their team would far greater benefit from well thought out purchases in areas that are more pressing. They will never be welcomed at the Lane.

Its a shame Gareth cant see this but I wish him well

Blame one of the most overused words in todays world

Gareth is chasing his dream - good luck to the lad.

Their movement, is amazing. I think OP was right in saying good luck.

When they do gel, they will be even more devastating.
