Guys, this is unhealthy. Everyone has the right to change their minds. If I had an option to earn more money and get a few medals along the way, I would have done the same. I went to work for a competitor to my previous company and it wasn't because I preferred their logo! It was more money, closer to home and a company that was performing.

Let's leave Willian alone, just like the bindippers had to when we signed Siggy

Please my fellow members, we have more class that that. Stop with all the whinging and insults and lets get on with supporting our wonderful club (y)

It's not that he changed his mind, it's how we were used by Kia and apparently Abramovich in this.

Can't wait to see Willian writhing around on the WHL pitch after 2 seconds of play, feigning injury because Sandro.

I'm warming to the idea or Eriksen now anyway - ridiculous potential and maybe just needs a new challenge.

For what its worth I thought Moriniho came across as classless and rather childish giggling with the journalists, it was all rather pathetic.

the guest on football focus said he lacked class too. No wonder AVB doesn't talk to him now he doesn't have to. Seems like a right prick.

Pathetic things like Moriniho did have a way of coming back and bitting you in the ass in life not just football. It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. Mark Twain

If Willy was going to cost £10-15m I would have been devoed that we missed out on him but at £30m he can go jump.

Fingers crossed we get Lamela in and I know we weren't happy with his valuation early summer but I wouldn't mind paying over the odds for Benteke as he looks like he's going to carry on with his goal scoring form.

I'm sorry mate but you're letting you love and passion for the club cloud your judgement here. If he said he wanted to come to us he would be in a Spurs shirt now. He obviously did as he had a medical with us. He then changed his mind. Yes his agent had something to do with it but please remove the rose tinted glasses and look at it form another angle:

He has an agent, he pays this agent to look out for his best interest. His agent shakes the barrel and a few thousand a week falls out. Agent has done his job and worth every penny to the player

It's ok everyone, relax. I've had a few moments to check through all my scouting info on Eriksen and I'm pleased to be able to share with you all that he is definitely the calibre of footballer we need. He can play LW, score, create, dribble and pass and will supercede Willian's level of talent within a couple of months with AVB's coaching support.

Ok now? Glad I could help.

P.S You really should check out er youtube yourself, if you're interested...
:D

P.P.S seriously though, he looks pretty decent!

As things currently stand, we have a starting XI that could potentially win the league with Bale included. We have spent a net 36 million pounds in the transfer market, which would be covered by the increase in television revenue and a few more outgoing sales (Adebayor and BAE).

If Bale goes, then I expect further signings be made to keep us in the exact same position of contention as if he would have stayed (on top of what we have signed already). Just signing Lamela and Chiriches wouldn't be enough to do that. Eriksen is an absolute must on top of the other two, and frankly, we really need Coentrao to be given to us in a cut rate deal with Madrid to really make the Bale transfer worth it in my mind.

If we can sign Lamela, Eriksen, Coentrao, and Chiriches (though I'd much prefer Alderweireld), then we'll have done incredibly well this transfer window and Willian will be a distant memory. However, these aren't easy deals to do. There is no low hanging fruit there, so Baldini will have his work cut out for him this last week.

Think Eriksen has reached a ceiling at Ajax. Good player, massive potential. Think he probably needs to move on and play in a more challenging league and with a higher calibre of player week in week out to push on and improve.
Kinda like Suarez, was v.good when Liverpool signed him, but had come on leaps and bounds since joining them - would imagine based on the quality of opposition in the PL.
doubt very much he would turn down a move to us regardless of what his agent said about CL footy.

Paulinho seems a genuinely nice guy - sort of players we want at the club. Humbled.

On a sidenote; I had an initial thought we're trying to sanction the Bale and Lamela deals at the same time. Due to the Willian saga. However, with it now apparent we still haven't accepted a Bale deal and how close we were apparently to signing Willian. Would everyone agree perhaps DL isn't scared potentially of ending up with his replacements before he knows definitely Bale's valuation will be met? Just worried if we wait on them to meet Bale's valuation we're going to lose out on Lamela.

'The guest' was the renowned former Irish international, the one and only most loyal Kevin Kilbane! He speaks honestly.
