I'm fine with selling Lucas. Fantastic servant to the club and a cult hero, but he's fifth choice at the moment and was looking likely to leave on a free back to Brazil or MLS in a year. He's on the list of players who needed to be gradually replaced and any transfer fee we get for him would be an added bonus.

If he goes then we need to replace him with someone who can actually contribute, however. Whoever fills his place will be called upon a decent amount given the insane fixture congestion. It can't be the likes of Dan James or we'll be shooting ourselves in the foot.

You're not gonna convince me that James is a good option, however it makes more sense as a Lucas replacement as their profiles are quite similar. We could get a few quid for Moura before he leaves on a free and get James in on loan as a like for like.

My concern is with what is happening with Bryan's replacement. It's looking like it's just going to be James replacing them both which would be shambolic.
