I think that if that's possible, that's what will happen. Not a fan of Hulk myself but AVB clearly enjoyed working with him and he was pretty effective in the Porto team.

I remain unconvinced it is possible though. Unless the rumours of all these mahoosive wages the likes of Willian and Hulk were just palpable bollox. Depends just how unhappy Hulk is I guess. If he's willing to take a pretty significant drop in wages then maybe.
I'm not great lover of Hulk either Mis and remain to be convinced he is worth the huge outlay but I'll trust AVB's judgement on this one.

It'll be fascinating to compare the squad we finished last season with to that of a week's time - we've come a long way baby!

Hang on a minute lads, I've got a great idea...

Real Madrid, the price for Gareth Bale is now £50m and Juan Mata. Get back to us when you've acquired Mata.

Chelsea would see through that wouldn't they...

Pretty much this. He's earned that.

If the club can bring in someone in addition to Lamela then Lennon is likely offski.

I have to say Chadli has done nothing for me so far. Certainly nothing to suggest that he has already surpassed Aaron.

I agree Lennon is a very frustrating player. But we just seem a little more dynamic to me when he is playing, maybe its what he does when not on the ball. I wouldnt say there arent better options out there, but I dont think those options are currently at the club.

is that the silly hop thing followed by gangster walking around ? ;)

I would say if it's Hulk then Lennon may go, if it's Eriksen then Siggy may go - that's my onion anyhoo.

Big mistake selling Lennon. We missed his pace on the counter attack today. I think he definitely needs competition as he's coasting at this stage of his career but if we sell him we will come to regret it imo.

Jason Burt has been reporting tonight that a fee of 86m (pounds) has been agreed for Bale. The article is in his thread.

Burt has previously said that he hasn't had any information from AVB on the Bale deal so I wouldn't necessarily put too much weight behind it...

Hulks a bit like marmite, you either love or hate him

What you can't deny though is that he scores goals, 99 apps and 54 goals for Porto is a brilliant record (especially for a winger)

Apparently Lennon could not commit to not growing that beard again! Sad to see him go but I am buying into the revolution!

It would be strange for Burt to state this as fact if he wasn't sure. Sounds like it's finally going to happen so hopefully we'll announce Lamela at the same time.

I can't say I've seen Hulk play very regularly, but I've seen him a few times and have often been completely wowed.

Hopefully he's not the Rebrov to Falcao's Shevchenko

On the contrary, the occasions I saw him play he looked like a lumbering hulk.

Madness.

Strong, quick (enough), tricky, intelligent, tracks back, team player.

Will get goals and assists and will always help out defensively.

Great signing.
