The window has been incredibly chaotic within the club today. I just received an update indicating that if United makes headway with Pierre, a potential that's gaining momentum, we might solidify our interest in Sofyan Amrabat. Fabio has suggested Amrabat as a more feasible option given the current expense associated with Paulinha . We also haven’t ruled out not replacing Pierre but ideally ange wants a replacement with Bentancur out still to fill a cm position.
Lol. United fans would piss blood if signing PEH meant we got Amrabat.

Once Bentancur is fit again, if you include the likes of Armabat, we would have 7 midfielders. Of course, 3 would be off to AFCON in Jan. But that would only impact us for two PL games. So... I can't imagine the Moroccan would be considered unless we were open to potentially letting Lo Celso leave either now or in January. Otherwise, we have a bit of bloat in midfield. Good bloat, mind you. But hard to find game time for that many really solid players. Nice problem to have. But with other priorities this window - I can only assume this must be one of those last min things that emerge (as they always tend to do) at the end of the window. Though, you do wonder why UTD would prefer Pierre over Armabat? Strange call. Oh well. Guess we'll find out on Friday how this all plays out in the end.

Johnson, Schurrs now and Toney in January would be decent...if PEH goes then maybe a replacement for him as well..
Not sure why so many people are keen to bring in Toney despite the ITK about his attitude that goes beyond just the gambling. Not sure a higher profile club will suit him at all

Surely Utd just go after Amrabat if he's available? I feel like this is one that's going to leave us stuck with PEH.
Which to be honest based on his role so far this season really isn’t a major problem. It’s not like we should be short of funds to get the required players in, and hopefully others will be shifted regardless

I agree and disagree . Think we have left it too late to sort all areas. Gonna wait till jan and asses options up top before a striker comes in been told

Aww man, If we leave it to January to sign a striker, you’d hope we come up with better than just asses options….

It’s fine as long as we upgrade on that player that’s getting sold. So if we selling him we have to replace him well
Whoever we sign won’t be starting so why strengthen United just to improve our subs

If United wanted Amrabat done, they would have done it already ?
I think Holjbjerg has legs due to his previous associations with Ten Hag

A top class winger and CB + CM if PEH goes would be ok with Richy, Son and Veliz covering ST until Jan however I’d like Johnson now as he can cover RW & ST.

I go on what I see him do on the pitch, anything else about attitude etc is hearsay...made a mistake with the gambling but he's been punished for it...

If getting ‘money in for Hjojberg’ actually affected the team then fine, but we’ve already got 100m we haven’t spent and we won’t do I would rather keep the proven premier league player in case Bissouma got injured (which he did often last year)

Stuck?
Hojbjerg is a good player and top professional.
He may not suit the system but he’ll be valuable this season if he stays.

Amrabat does fit our style more so than Hojbjerg, however he's 27 and I think the price would have to be able to be cheap enough to yield him and one of the earlier mentioned South American prospects for later down the line for it to be worthwhile imo because Amrabat feels like a very short term proposition.

‘Stuck with PEH’ is incredibly harsh. People talk on here about him like he’s Benjamin Stambouli.
If he was more Stromboli like we wouldn't be "stuck" with him, as we would have flipped a flop for a profit (how we sold him to psg after one season and for more than we paid outstands me)

Definitely agree with you though, I think he is underrated by a lot of fans and can still do a job for us this season if he wants to be here.

If he doesn't want to be here then as long as we can replace just sell him to whoever. Otherwise what we will be "stuck with" is a player who doesn't want to be here and the more of those off the books the better.

Was always going to happen. You don’t pay £60m for a CF then give him 3 games to prove himself.

I also think it will be an attempt to build Richie’s confidence. He’s already clearly low so bringing a CF I’m basically says we don’t trust you, whereas it will likely be packaged up as ‘we have complete faith in you which is why we don’t think we need another CF’ (yet)

Signing another African Cm makes no sense. Tonight shows why our squad is not good enough to cope with injuries although I accept making 9 changes doesn’t help. We really need a striker….
