Arsenal are so bad now none of their players deserve criticism, I almost feel sorry for them. Apart from Szceny (sp) his face, my fist will collide.

Spastic gooners, haha. I like that, it has a ring to it. Well played, fake Lamela account. Well played.

OT but I actually feel sorry for Gibbs. He's got so much potential but he's always broken. I don't know if it's him or the gooner's physio setup but it's a pity for the lad. He would be a much better player if he played for a decent team. :(

Anyone think Brian likes the attention?
I saw one of the Spurs accounts (AddictedToSpurs maybe) asking Brian to follow him and then, when he did, he said "omg Brian Lamela just followed me it must be a sign". What the actual fuck, you just begged him to do it...

Not sure that's a genuine account...

@coco_lamela is genuine (I think) and that tweet isn't there.

Of course, we certainly do need a defense splitting passer of the ball however some people are going crazy and saying things like 'we are in serious trouble'.

We out possession'd swansea yesterday which is not an easy ask. Our ability to break down midfields is going to be what wins us games, especially away from home. This is something already shining through as something we will be able to do better than most other teams in the league.

We will find that creativity - we will buy someone and that piece of the puzzle will bring everything together.

People just need to relax and enjoy what they are seeing so far of this team that has only been together a few weeks.

I agree we maybe need someone capable of the defence splitting pass, but I also think we need to remember this team is gelling. Once the fluidity improves as they get used to each other, the players will start to recognise runs and find each other a lot easier. Yesterday's starting lineup, of the attacking six players, 4 were new signings, 1 spent most of last season on the fringes and then on loan, the other has not actually been with us for a year yet (well, only a couple of days short). Patterns, systems and partnerships are still in the embryonic stage. As they play more, they will become more fluid and incisive.

Bit like us with Willian

Not really as I didnt see many of those. I saw a few that thought 30 mill was to much which many of us agreed on before Chelsea came in, but we were willing to pay over the top to get him in.

I did however see alot of questions on this motives as a money grabbing prick and we might have dodged a bullet. Time will show I guess. I am still gutted we didnt get him although I think 30 mill was a tad to high.

Where is taricco?

I was thinking the same thing but decided to check his Wikipedia profile. Just found out he was a coach at Brighton under Poyet (and played 15 games for them and got sent off twice! ;))

Anyway I remember reading that Mauricio Taricco helped out Postiga (with the language barrier) when they were both at the club. Maybe if he is a decent coach we can bring him in to help out with coaching the fullbacks and help Lamela adapt to the UK and the Premier League.

I know we have a lot of Portuguese speakers but not many Spanish speakers (baring Soldado but he is new).

Possession was 50-50. We had no problem winning away games last season, but a lot of that was due to Bale. If he's now gone we'll struggle more away too. We struggled badly at home all season. There was no improvement in the final third over the course of the season. We lack any sort of plan in the final third, creative player or not, the movement is not there. A creative player alone doesn't solve all our problems if the other players around him aren't making the required runs or space for themselves. It has to change.

Yet is funny that we've created more chances than any other club so far this season with 31.

Depends what you count as chances. Clear cut chances we certainly haven't created the most of. Paulinho had like 3 shots from 30 yards yesterday, I'm guessing those are counted in those 31. They aren't even a chance in my book. I wish people would actually back statistics up with some context.
