I think a few people rated me as disagree and spam when I said there would be more lows:)

Fuck what everyone else has got, we've got a cracking squad, and we actually made a few bob this summer with our sales.

The whole 50 million loan was just ITK talk, and rumour milling - simply as that (unless there really is levy time), so we have our squad and positions covered.

Personally, I think Rose has done a cracking job and will continue to improve over the summer, I'm not sure LB is a major concern to be honest, Rose, Naughton and Verts who can cover that position is good enough for me.

I'm actually really excited about our team settling over the coming months and then sitting back and enjoying the season, I honestly think we'll see a trophy this year too (Europa League maybe).

We can compete for top 4, we really can.

Very pleased with our window, but shipping out BAE without cover in LB is big mistake imo. Extra annoying since we basically made the same mistake last season when we loaned out Andros. When Lennon was injured and Bale playing in his more central role that meant we were left with no pace whatsoever on the wings.

Arsnal are good going forward its defencively they are poor, be more worried if they signed a kick arse mid and defender.

Gutted that we haven't signed anyone.

Really think we'll finish 6th this year.

Missed an opportunity to push on, 3 players short.
RB, LB, CB, CF short of big big things.

Will be too expensive to fix the holes in Jan, so our cause is in the wind.

Will have to rely on our forwards to bring home the bacon and AVB to really earn his corn with tactics.

Liverpool, Scum, Chelsea, Manure, City.

5 tough teams we have to duke it out with.

Injuries, suspension, wonky refs etc. will all play a part.

Let's just enjoy it and the new crackers we've signed.

Here comes LAMELA!

I assumed you fucked up pretty majorly and instead looked at Eriksen's stats for THIS season.

He has 5 assists (and 3 goals) in 5 starts, THIS season.

No, he got his stats from the ESPN website. They don't include Eredivisie assists in their totals.

Yeah, all the talk of needing a playmaker, we have signed Eriksen for that. 21yrs old, proven already at club, European and international level. He is the man that will provide the link. Holtby has had half a season to bed in, we will see the best of him now too. Two players right there for the key no10 role.
Now of only we had two LB's too....

I dont want to sound like a whiny ****, but from the outside looking in considering our outgoings and incomings along with our net spend, we couldve done more to solidify our top 4 challenge. a net spend of 4m with a tv deal, new sponsors and a rumoured 50m loan isnt that ambitious IMO. As things stand we still have the 4th/5th best squad in the league (and thats not even considering the fact that our players are mostly all strangers to each other and will take time to gel) which leaves us about where we've been for the last 4/5 years despite spending 100 odd million.

I think we couldve made at least 1 more quality signing.

So rose conceded one goal away Arsenal this season, but who conceded the 10 goals away to Arsenal over the 2 previous season's? Seems to me only conceding 1 is an improvement?

Some people dont know how good we have it. People complain when we leave it late and then complain if we do all our business before deadline day. Sadly not everyone can be satisfied, there's always something to moan about.

This is the best squad we've ever had in a Premier League season. I am so glad the window is shutting so we can focus on what we do have. This has been a fantastic window and I will never forget it. We got it right this year. COYS!!!

It was purely hypothetical, dear. I think I messed up on the assist stat though, so apologies there.

BTW, your BF would probably trade you for Ryan Gosling as well.

:)

Wow DFF

Love to see someone come out swinging with a bit of personal abuse after getting something really really wrong.

Has a real playground feel about it.

Bravo sir.

I think 50 mil loan was a great pr stunt so we could sign players with out being screwed over ;)

I think a lot of the carping on here is really down to the result at the weekend. But the corresponding scores there over the past 2 years were 5-2. This year with a team who have only just learnt each others names we lost 1-0. We have bought a couple of world class players and 4 more very good players even by prem standards. This is the starting point for a great team. Sure we still have a couple of positions that we need to improve on, but there is no way that we have had a bad summer. We are strong, we will get even better.
