Everton definitely the winners of deadline day in a massive way.

27.5 MILION FOR FELLAINI...WOW. Good player, but stunned that United even want him actually. Don't equate that signing to fast free flowing football.

Lukaku in on loan, amazing business. With McCarthy to.

Think they'll be amongst it actually.
It's Moyes, he wants his old players, like Martinez wants his old players, smaller minded managers have moved to bigger clubs but haven't grown into them yet

I know this is ITK (almost done for Summer 2013) but it's interesting to see members (possibly in the wrong thread) trying to put together a central three and top end three player lineup.

We could have picked a 4-3-3 line up last season with our eyes shut, not so fucking easy is it now all your wanna be AVB's?

Just to cause a backscuttling thought in A&C's mind

Here's my middle and top end:

Paulinho Ericksen Sandro

Lamela Soldado Chadli

Now Mr Ozil, Carrick, Toure, Lampard, and Carrick.......pick the fucking bones out of that lot.

Coentrao apparently wanted £120k a week to play for us. It's understandable why we didn't go for it.

I don't know of many LBs who were available for a reasonable price who also would've improved us sufficiently.

BAE shouldn't really have been loaned though.

Don't agree with loaning Benny one bit.

Whilst I believe AVB has to be allowed to shape the club how he wants.

Without a replacement it does seem like we've weakened the squad for personality and reasons.

I love AVB but he has a tendency to rush through change to quickly.

Once he couldn't get an upgrade, I think he should have found a role for Benny.

Are people actually complaining about our squad? We've had a great transfer window, regardless of Arsenal's special signing. It's closed and thank goodness - now we can just enjoy football.

(And for those of you moaning at the left-back situation, Vertonghen makes a very good back-up)

Why is everyone getting so obsessed with left back? how many left backs did we have last season? one! how many have we got this season? one!

cast your minds back to the last 3 windows.....we need a striker....we need a striker.....we need a striker.... We now have a world class striker. We need creativity....we now have several top midfielders. When Sandro, dembele and Kaboul got injured, we had no cover....Now we have s spare beast, very good centre back cover and spare talent in the middle of the park.

Stop moaning about our lack of signings and who gives a toss about Ozil? we only have to play them once more and I'm sure ozil won't be able to prevent szcesney? being a complete knob and their defence being average.

Great window for us!!! COYS!!!

Very Hapyy with our signings, but seriously Real Madrid or not this co called special agreement needs to be ripped up, can't see we have had any good out of it.

Looking forward to the new lads getting some game time.

Madrid have shit on us this window.

By giving us a record fee for a player who is, in no way, worth more than Cristiano Ronaldo?

The bastards.

Madrid can't make players come to us. It seems many forget that there are actually players who are people with their own will who are the subject of these million pound deals. Not a random asset. A person who has a say.

lol, wtf is this about?

"Confirmation from Manchester United that three men who reportedly attempted to negotiate a deal to sign Athletic Bilboa midfielder Ander Herrera were not acting on behalf of the Premier League champions and were, for want of another word, imposters.
"Reports in Spain claim three men dressed in black suits and claiming to be United "representatives" spent an hour at the La Liga offices attempting to negotiate a deal. The move collapsed at the 11th hour."

Madrid have really done us. We've done some great business but the end of the window really leaves a bad taste in the mouth

Regardless of what's happened today, if back in May, you were shown our final list of ins and outs from this window, you'd have taken it.

Yes we didn't get all our targets - no club ever does. But our squad has greater depth than last season and greater overall quality - we no longer rely on 1 man to score every week.

Give the squad time to gel and I think we could see something special :) COYS

Not gonna be one of those moaning about the window as I think we have done some astonishingly great business.........BUT.......This Coentrao deal has been a real kick in the teeth this late on as he was the missing piece of the jigsaw for me. Not getting him hurt but losing him to rivals has really f*cked me off.

Otherwise, delighted with our signings though and a huge thanks to Rob, A&C & the rest of the top dogs for making this THE place to be as usual for the entire window (y)

Now. They've got Bale, so it has served its purpose. Amazed we didn't manage to get anyone in return, even on a loan.
You guys are mental if you think that deal with Madrid meant anything. I expect we sold them a 1st refusal on Bale to bump up the Modric price.
Levy has violated them twice in 12 months and took 150m Euro off them for 2 players, and Modric had a poor season. They're not gonna do us any more favours and Chelski will

i miss gareth :( but...

the sale of bale is part of the spurs model buy young and cheap sell high. it is the only way we are going to compete at a top 5-6 level until the stadium is finished. then we will be hold on to eriksen and lamela when they become worldies.

all the tards complaining about net spends- we have a stadium to build ffs. we are better overall in terms of squad depth and we have sold a player who has only really had two amazing seasons for a world record fee- he may turn out to be a two season wonder or break his leg or lose interest in football. His sale has guaranteed our financial security while the stadium is built and and moved us closer to arsenal (in terms of infrastructure and assets).

Madrid have shit on us this window.

Yeah, nevermind the world record fee we pulled out of them.

They would never sign an agreement saying player x can't go to a certain club if they were to buy Bale. If it was roles reversed we'd be laughing in their faces for suggesting the notion.

End of the day it is all business.
