Shelvey is such a joke, how he is making a living as a footballer is a mystery.

Shelvey playing a blinder. 1 goal and 2 assists in that first half.

Anybody know what all the fuss w/ Coutinho is about? Maybe I'm catching him on an off day, but hasn't done f' all in that first half. Liverpool fans talk him up as he his one of the top 5 players in the league.

sorry mate, they're decent but no better. swansea have let them play and gifted them every opportunity they've had though simply sunday league style fuck ups. cannot believe the luck that some teams get in this division, hope they're this shit when we go to the liberty even though you know they'll be world beaters.
They are much better than last year, and still have their best player to come back.

I'm not saying that they are title contenders, but to right them off, is quite silly, as they will be competing at the higher end of the table.

I reckon Harry Potter's put a spell on him.

Right so watching Liverpool, brilliant going forward but dodgy at the back as suspected. How many chances did we afford Swansea in our match, Bony, Voldermort and Michu have been in a few times and better finishing/decision making and they could have more than one goal.

They've been gifted two goals this evening though, particularly the first obviously. Swansea very unlucky to be losing IMO. Pretty even game, but Swansea have responded well since going to 2-1 down.

yup, agree they're much better than last year and not writing them off but.....

stoke - but for a shit penalty, 2 points dropped
villa - played them at the right time right after villa had 2 tough games (? or was it just a day or two after chelsea?) in a short space of time
united - admittedly they've not beaten them for a while but united were poor and anything can happen between 2 rivals
swansea - been utter shit and have massively self-destructed via uncle fester

so yes, they're better and they'll be competing for a while but they're still a better version of 6th/7th for me.

Really?

Thought Swansea have been pretty dire, even for their standards - granted they were gifted two goals, but you gotta take the chances.

Think Shelvey needs to come off though, bit more stability, and hope that Liverpool fade off more in the second half.

The funny thing is that they tend to look more composed and fluid without him playing. Like us and Bale thing, I suppose, genius is selfish. He can't balance his individual talent with the good of the team.

Dire? Not great, but hardly dire. Shelvey has had a disaster granted, not for that they'd be leading 1-0.

Yeah I get all that, but they keep getting the wins - thats what counts in my book, and Saurez to come back gives them more.

I don't really know much about their squad though, wether a few injuries changes it all or not, although guess it was going to happen with Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs to an extend starting stronger than the Manchester's and Chelsea with their new managers.

Slightly more settled squads in both Arsenal and Liverpool, speaks volumes to current league standings.

expecting shelvey to nut the ref now, or at least shit himself whilst making a tackle.
