Some people are banned from the transfer bit I guess, which is where Lamela's thread is at the mo, so thought I'd open this up for general visibility

The Rabona vs Arsenal is nominated as GotS:

(caveat - so is Lanzini's rocket against us  assist by winks..)

Full nominees:
  • James Maddison (vs Man City, September 27)
  • Manuel Lanzini (vs Spurs October 18)
  • Ola Aina (vs West Brom November 2)
  • Sebastien Haller (vs Crystal Palace December 16)
  • Mohamed Salah (vs West Ham January 31)
  • Bruno Fernandes (vs Everton February 6)
  • Erik Lamela (vs Arsenal March 14)
  • Jesse Lingard (vs Wolves April 5)
  • Edinson Cavani (vs Fulham May 18)

I'd love to see Erik win - especially if he's at the end of his time here.

Two notes: not sure why Kane's Palace goal wasn't included, and it's a crime (imo) that Cavani's is in there, as it shouldn't have stood anyway ?‍♂️

Everyone seems to have forgotten Tanguy's away at Sheffield United. Thought that was goal of the season contender worthy at the very least.

Having watched those nominated, I feel like Maddison's and Lanzini's are goals you see up and down the country every week. Same with Salah. Lingard just ran into open pitch (Wolves defending was shocking). The only ones I was impressed with were Haller, Lamela and Cavani (maybe Bruno as well because it was like a delicate lob).

Ndombele's is such a rare and unique goal that it should have been there

actually thought Son's V the goons, or Kane's V Palace at home were better than Lamela

maybe I'm a bit down on Lamela's goal as good as it was, because it was a dreadful performance and we lost the NLD

curlacious

Don’t look at me. I’m irrelevant.

I think theres a sense he didn’t mean it. Even if no one actually said that out loud. I disagree obviously...

Lamela and Cavani best two in there, then Haller. The look of surprise and sheer joy from both of them.

See the others pretty much week in week out across the leagues.

I meant Bruno's goal v Everton listed.

Ah okay yes, it fitted in subtly with the Cavani one.

I felt like the Bruno one was a bit of a variation on the Kane one, just maybe one where you could question why the keeper was able to be lobbed when he was stood only a foot off his line.

It was just the way he nonchalantly hit it into the top corner. I hate him for the most part, but it felt different to other goals I see every week. Maybe just me of course.

He means the Bruno goal nominated, it has a bit of a Cantona v Sunderland vibe.
I did think Cantona to be fair. It was just so cool (if I can use that word for a guy who moans at every little touch he feels?).
