That's it. I've had enough. AVB hasn't got a clue. He just happens to be probably the luckiest man with regards to jobs offered to him. He had one. ONE good season at Porto with a squad of players who were much better than any other in the league and unsurprisingly done well. Off of the back if that he has managed to score two of the best jobs in the PL and still manage to keep people believing I'm him even though he has demonstrated on numerous occasions that he is way out of his depth.

I'm at the pub on my phone so am leaving it here but will comment further when o get home.
AVB is a faux manager. I have said it all along he does not know what he is doing. Sure he has some 'chalkboard' plays and has been around real mangers but that does not make you one. Twice now he has taken a group of quality footballers and turned them into a bunch of hapless losers...at Chelsea when we all laughed at how bad they were and now with my beloved Spurs

You are not a Premier League manager though.

Need positive and experienced coaches in the set up,.... need to keep Herr Freund and (bring back?) Clive Allen.... both very positive individuals...

and VAN BASTEN TO LEAD THEM ALL!!!! (think LotR) :blackalien:

From a few of your previous posts, I get the faint impression that you want Van Basten to take charge :p

AVB, get the fuck out of my club.

You have a squad capable of playing free flowing football, but your fear of losing has been holding us back. Your safe possession football devoid of any attacking intent has fucked us. This is the result.

Now fuck off. I believed in you and you only hurt me.

We are not getting CL football now.

Seriously fucking angry and pissed off right now.
Boohoo no CL football, we've only had it once in our history anyway.
AVB is just trying to make us more solid so that we are capable of nicking a result. Losing games by playing free flowing football isn't ultimately going to make people like you happy anyway.

Why exactly has this game changed so many peoples minds about our team and AVB? What was so different about that match other than the fact that our defence leaked like a sive? The same defence which has been rock solid all season. The same defence with the leagues most clean sheets. Give them a bit of a break. City were awesomely fantastic. It was our midfield which couldn't cope and we lost posession which placed our defence under some serious pressure from some seriously quality players. Sure they could have done better. But this game only told us what we already know. We can't score. Don't let our one off bad day in defence cloud your judgements.

Give Lamela a chance ffs.
Didnt play well but didnt play that bad either, should have scored, but still put paul and Ade for decent chances.
Sandro for spurs then dembele, as everyone knows i dont rate dembele, but credit were its due he played well when he came on.
Man City at home are the best team we will face bar none.
should have played capoue with sandro for this one, they would have sat back and protected us.
And Chiri for daws.
Forget this one, plenty of teams will go there and get hammered its that simple.
I Agree, you can't blame Lamela, he was one of the better players I thought, at least he tried to do something.

We have a brilliant squad apart from the full backs, it is the way we are set out to play.

Negative, possession football born out of a fear of losing, rather than having the balls and going for throat. That is the problem.

Most sensible post I've seen.

The biggest mistake we've made in the last two years was willingly letting Rafael Van der Vaart leave this club. He was the soul of our footballing side and the likes of Holtby and Sigurdsson could never replace what he brought to us going forward.
