Fully agree. Bentaleb is most similar to Dembele, minus the bursting runs but with a bit more of an eye for a forward pass. There's also a similarity between him and Capoue as well, in the way he'll sit deep and try to get the ball moving around. Sandro and Paulinho are very different, however.

Well for me, Sandro has to play, at least against the teams in the top half of the table.

If Paulihno continues in the form he was showing before that **** done him then it's hard to leave him out.

On the other hand, Bentaleb hasn't done a lot wrong. It's Dembele who needs to up his game. As I've said before, 1 great game in 4 is not enough.

What this debate does show is that we have an embarrassment of riches in CM and it's why Holtby, although a decent player is surplus to requirements. People should stop getting their knickers in a twist about him going out on loan or even leaving on a permanent.

One of the keys to victory for us today was the link u play between Eriksen and Adebayor. It reminded me of how well VDV and Ade played together when we had Ade on loan. We're really seeing what this kid (Eriksen) is all about. I'm really excited about him in this second half of the season, he has truly found his feet now.

I think for all the hard work of the wide men (Lennon & Chadli) the final ball was really lacking so we needed those two to be on top form up top today. I think the future still lies closer to our previous lineup with Eriksen coming off the left to link with Ade and Soldado. Hopefully Lamela can find his feet soon like Eriksen has because for me Townsend and Lennon simply lack the final ball.

We're very close to having a top team all round and I think we have the players available to fulfil it. We're just a couple of little tweaks from achieving that.

It baffled me at first but the Naughton sub was actually a clever move by Sherwood.

Lennon's influence and energy was diminishing and he hadn't had a great game.

We had no options with pace on the bench for the counter so he put the ever willing Walker on the right wing which would offer an outlet but also nullify the threat that was coming from the left.
Indeed, actually a very clever substitution.

Well, I suppose after today, I need to stop being hesitantly neutral and start being slowly optimistic about TS' tenure. I don't think we look that different from under AVB, but the biggest change under Slippery is the lethal way we score goals. That's exactly what we didn't do under AVB. And for that, I'm obliged to be supportive. I still spot specific decisions which are odd to me. Ie. Preferring Naughton in and Walker up for Lennon, over even having Lamela on the bench. But heck, he has led the team to victory on OT, whereas i have not.

I must admit that not knowing anything about Erikson before he came to us, I have not been too impressed and thought he was overhyped. But his last few performances under TS has shown me what the all the hype was about. We have a very good player on our hands and am really glad he is a Spur!

Our away form in general and the fact that we are beating records that date back to the days of Bill Nick is truly remarkable. Maybe we'll be taken seriously now but to be honest I wouldn't mind us carrying on under the radar.

Only a victory over City at the Lane will see us taken seriously.

And if we pull that off, we'll deserve to be...

Lennon really drives me crazy, wish I had a pound for everytime he loses the ball or makes a wrong decision,I would be a millionaire now.

Three points for spurs the most important outcome for me so job done but again spurs make serious hard work of it - Swansea were truly shocking but not having a moan but Dawson And Chadli followed closely by Lennon were truly shocking - Dawson all over shop marking bony and at least three or four yards from him every find he got ball , lost most important headers in it around box and is without doubt a total liability -Lennon passing and awareness was truly shocking as usual and one can easily see why he does not score at all for us - Chadli was a joke done absolutely nothing as far as I'm concerned and for a guy to be fighting for a place in side that was seriously shocking! Watching that game we should have been completely out of site by half time let alone before that . Keep saying it quicker we have verts back instead if Dawson and sandro in midfield we can build around that - some of our tackles today were truly shocking but like I say job and three points done but against a good side we would have got seriously spanked -- big plus point was ade and erikssen looked good and showed some class

I slag Dawson off at every opportunity but today was one of his best games of the season for us.

Brilliant ball for our 2nd goal and aside from 1-2 blunders I thought he did well at nullifying Swansea.

Still not of the necessary quality to play for us on a consistent basis though.

JSIGN, I'm really not jibing you here hombre, but do you think you and several others may have been a bit quick to judge the guy?

After all, there were some saying 18 months wasn't long enough to gauge his predecessor.

All I wanted see was some flexibility. If he starts showing that in the big matches it will at least show he's learnt from his mistakes so far.

Good decision to lay the ball back to Eriksen to swing in that peach of a cross for the opener.

He is fecking annoying, agreed... But he isn't as shit as you would think from reading SC match threads!

Utd playing like a mid table side that they are. Looks like we have to depend on ourselves to make up points to get into the top 4

Awh man seriously - watch game again and see how often bony used get ball and Dawson at least three or four yards off him - one example was shot off bar in first half , second one was goal and I remember header in both halves when in and around goal he was all over shop allowing him free headers on goal al be it tame ones but that's not the point - u just don't give strikers that amount if space it was woeful invho - he has heart but hasn't a clue and is so easily exposed---- it's only cud we won everything Rosey but honestly thought there was at least 3 to 4 pretty damn average to real shit performances from spurs players out there
