Sad to say, Bentaleb, Lennon and Sigurdsson wouldn't get into the City reserves. We are missing our best players. Still not sure whether Sandro and co would have made much difference tonight.

At least we have a plethora of players coming back. Tim got it wrong tonight and should of had a stronger midfield 3 who can fight for the ball and tackle, Sig should not have started and Lennon was god-awful. Hate the way people hate on the defence, if you don't offer them the protection against a team like city then you need to look at the manager.

I really hope Lamela is given game time asap, Lennon can't keep turning in performances like this. Sherwood, For all his "play the spurs way and give the fans what they expect bullshit" really does not have a clue, There is so, so much that can be exploited out of our squad and yet no-one seems to make the most of it....Shocking! Will judge Tim on what he delivers when we have a fully fit squad. For now just ride the storm...

I think in order for midfield 3 to work where they are strong shielding players, we need much better wingers.

We're not getting 4th this season, buddy.

Of course we won't. We've sold all our star players, and tried to find new ones on the cheap. The one player we got that could potentially be a star for us hasn't had a look in, and Levy's content to keep his wallet shut while other teams strengthen.

We've gone down a level IMO. We're closer to the likes of Newcastle than we are to being a top four team.

As for Oil Money FC...just another meaningless victory. With the money they have, winning the league should be a foregone conclusion every season. Yay for healthy competition.

this is such a shit season

Yup shit season, unreal that we are 5th after losing our best player!

God I wish some of you were old enough to remember when we were mid table at best. We have just been beaten from the future league champions with 10 men. And screwed out decisions! Get a grip

Here we go, load of fans thinking we should have been better.

You're looking at the best in the world now folks.
If it was Madrid or Barcelona or Bayern Munich that did that you'd not be so bothered.

Imo City will destroy all of those with ease.

surprised you excluded Dembele, he was no better, I remember at least 3 occassions him losing the ball in our own half choosing the wrong option 11 vs 11. very few players have played well if any. we need signings for me, not fucking potential.
IMO he was the best of a bad bunch. Dreadful midfield display today. Having said that, we would've been bang in the game had the Lino not had City in his Acca tonight.

By the same token had City had their shooting boots on in the first half it could've been 0-4 at h/t

Bentaleb btw....talented player but he needs to be brought in slowly. Should never of started tonight.

We have needed a LB for a long time since Benny left, if Levy wants us to get in the Champs League we need
Man City are terrific going forward but I want a manager that can organise us so we don't get thumped 5 and 6 by them and Liverpool. I can take losing but these scores are depressing, feels like we've taken a huge step backwards in the last 2 years (not that I think Harry should have stayed).

Of course Harry should have stayed! Whats happened since he left is proof of that!

Realistically we where never going to win, granted we got some joke decisions in this match but lets not forget we got some lucky decisions earlier in the season. Fact is the team that we started tonight where never going to really challenge City, Sig is not good enough, Nabil is not ready to play a team like City, Lennon for the second game in a row has looking very poor. I really cant see that team beating any of the teams above us, Utd included.

There's something dysfunctional about our club at the moment. Bent referring or not, you can't be shipping 5 again at home. There's too much uncontrolled 'defending' throughout the team this season. While we're doing reasonably well, we're not turning other sides over with 4 or 5 to spare while it's happening to us with alarming regularity. It's turning into more of a maddening season than a mad one, and you'd like to think Sherwood has a plan to get our big players back in the eleven and get on a run to chase down Liverpool.

I'm a fan of Sherwood's and think AVB was a bit of a fraud and deserved the boot. But make no mistake about it, Sherwood is on notice now and wont be allowed another shellacking. What's been happening to us this season doesn't happen to properly managed football teams - and by management I mean everyone from the coaches up to Levy.

Well, at least it means that the Arse are no longer top. Hmm, those crumbs are cold and provide some comfort.

Well it started with the wrong players selected by TS specially in midfield.
Then IMO taking of DEMBELE instead of Bentaleb - I just hope DEMBELE was injured.
Then the sending off of Rose.
Now the hammering at WHL.
Need to rebuild and it starts against hull Saturday ...
DEMBELE had an ankle injury.
