I would argue that England played better than Argentina did in the first half.

Bosnia and Hz. look very disciplined and well drilled, really hope they keep it up second half. They are lacking a bit of movement up front though.

Lulic or Besic probably the joint best players on the pitch so far.

Hope this is just a case of Argentina starting a tournament slowly, in the last couple of World Cups they started like a train and then crashed out

Argentina have been pretty woeful. They don't have a recognised ball playing central midfielder, and the only attacking options at times seem to be the wing-backs.

Bosnia on the other hand have been excellent. All comfortable on the ball, and look a serious threat from set pieces. Besic (no 7) has been their standout performer, marshalling Messi superbly.

Lionel has lost the ball 7 or 8 times already

Monaco's second choice keeper starts for Argentina in the world cup
Monaco's first choice keeper is back up for Croatia
Croatia's first choice keeper use to play for us but never played a game
Bosnia's first choice changed his mind when signing for us when he saw Croatia's first choice keeper sign on the same day after being concerned about his game time

And each of those are worse than our first choice keeper. We are so lucky to have Hugo.

Agree. It's the 352. 433/4231 would suit the players they have much better. Maxi Rodriguez just isn't working in this set up.

Should be something like:

Perez Mascherano DiMaria

Messi Aguero Levazi

or maybe

Gago Mascherano

Rodriguez Messi Alvarez

Aguero
Formation has seem to hinder them but credit Bosnia in how they've applied themselves, particularly in the face of conceding a sloppy goal under 3 mins.

Individually and collectively, Argentina look below par but there shouldn't be too much scrutiny after 45 mins of football in a World Cup - still a class act and when they click, it'll be impressive but I'd like to see Sabella be proactive here.

I think it's me. I've become somewhat of a betting Jonah recently and I've backed the Argies to win the tournament.

Here we go. Poor 1st half and Messi isn't the special player that the panel all said he was. Fickle.

anybody think Bosnia could get a draw out of this...or Argies likely to vastly improve in the second half?
