Get to relive the whole Pearce saga
I wonder how you know that?
If football was solely judged on international football, then yes. I hear people say all the time that Messi can't be considered the best of all time because he doesn't deliver at international level. I look at it in a different way. For 12 matches over his career Pele showcased his talent on what was - at the time - the top stage in football, the World Cup, and his talent cannot be denied. But I don't think Pele can be called the best of all time because there is SUCH a limited sample size.Really? International goals, goals per game and international honours - Pele wins. Messi only beats Pele in goals in a calendar year and domestic honours. Until Messi performs at a World Cup (and I mean against decent opposition and not the likes of Greece & South Korea) Pele will be considered the better player. Also, hasn't Messi only scored one goal in a World Cup? Messi is a more entertaining player to watch but Pele was the better forward.
That being said, he definitely has the potential to surpass Pele. He just needs Argentina to have a good World Cup campaign.
Or do I say a Riquelme
Argentina fans: "Messi's better than Pele."
Brazil fans: "Five time champions."
Gotta love the banter of football.

Don't know why they went 352 but this is the formation they used in the qualifiersFair play to the Argy manager. He's held his hands up and tried to correct some mistakes.
Gago hasn't quite lived up to his name but he can ping some passes about on a good day. Good to see Higuain on as well.

Messi needs to do it on this stage first, fel.Pele, for me, was a great player in an unbelievable team.
Goalscorer extraordinaire in a league that was inferior to that of the Europeans but his influence has never been greater than Messi's IMO.
It's mental; they were much more fluid and cohesive in recent friendlies.Argentina have been pretty woeful. They don't have a recognised ball playing central midfielder, and the only attacking options at times seem to be the wing-backs.
Bosnia on the other hand have been excellent. All comfortable on the ball, and look a serious threat from set pieces. Besic (no 7) has been their standout performer, marshalling Messi superbly.
Lionel has lost the ball 7 or 8 times already
Oh god... I'm already bored with the world cup...
