He's recently said he isn't interested in a loan move anywhere as he wants to stay and fight for a first team spot at Bayern as it's his childhood club. Can't really see him wanting a move away regardless of the club on offer

I'm far less alarmed by being linked to him for £5m than by some other players we've been linked to for much more money!

We need 2 players urgently. A CB and CF. Can we please stop messing about with more midfielders we have loads of them at various degrees of quality. But at least we have them. If any one of Ade, RS, JV or most likely Kaboul get injured then we are fucked.
Personally Id like to see us sign Shawcross from stoke.
I think he is overdue an England Call
And up front Emineke look really powerful in Brazil and wouldn't cost huge money from Fernabache.

We might end up adding a forward later on in the window if Poch isn't satisfied with the current options but that's far from certain yet. A CB is of far more importance and should be a clear priority.

Firstly we probably don't need a CF.
Secondly, Shawcross is not the CB we need to immediately strengthen our first eleven.
Thirdly we should stay well clear of Emineke unless we're playing Fifa 13, the only place he's ever been good.

Where's the Emineke link mate?

Not sure what Baldini/the scouting department are doing if the best links we can come up with are Shawcross, Reid, Vlaar etc.

A CF urgent? We've 2 guys that both expect to start and only one position. Plus Kane. Unless we sl we don't need a CF urgently IMHO. perhaps a utility type, Remy or Rodriguez.
We've also got 4 CBs so unless one departs via a sale, released or retired, I can't see us buying a 5th. Back up keeper and left back addressed areas of concern. We need a lwf or one of our attacking players to stake a claim at making this their own slot. Townsend, Chadli, Lennon, Holtby all have a chance to join what I expect will be Eriksen & Lamela playing behind a central striker.

Kaboul's a cripple and Dawson is clearly not good enough (much as we love him). We definitely need a CB. A world class one would transform us right now, I really believe that.
