Favourites for the league now IMHO

Balotelli, Sturridge, Sterling is the best forward line outside of La Liga
Aguero, Dzeko, Silva, Nasri, Jovetic

Costa, Willian/Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard

Mata, Rooney, Van Persie

These are all better IMO.

Balotelli/Sturridge/Sterling >>>>>>> Aguero/Dzeko/Negredo yes

Aguero would get in their team but not other 2

That's not how you'd compare them....as City wouldn't play all three of those and Liverpool could when they play two up top and Sterling in behind.

Nasri, Yaya pushed up, Silva and a fit Aguero is better than any combination Liverpool could field.

I've never got it with this guy, I think it's his character and that he is a black Italian. Just hype for me, solid forward but not elite.

Bloody hell had to do a double take, that looks a hell of a lot like a mate of mine from school who is now a doctor. He's a die hard Gooner though so the Liverpool top kind of gave it away!

So pleased he's off to Lverpool. He's got some talent but he's a fucking loon, who would fuck the harmony of any dressing room. And he doesn't always leave the sulking for the dressing room either. His appearance and scoring record isn't exactly exceptional either. And if he's dropped or isn't having it all his own way, he's going to be a major pain in the arse for Rodgers.

I would have lived with Suarez's shit all day long because he was a team player who played every game like it was a cup final against local rivals. But Balotelli just a egocentric loony toon.

Super Mario will have a couple of good games.

The scouse pundits will talk about how he's the bargain of the season, and Rodgers is a genius.

Then, sooner or later, it'll all blow up in the scousers' faces. :blackeye::peeking:

Rodgers' ego has clearly gotten the better of him over this deal, we all know how much of a pain in the arse Balotelli is, even Milan can't stand the fucker now, bit for some reason Rodgers thinks he can turn him around and make him mature. No idea why he thinks this.

Wrong.

Rodgers isn't fussed on getting him so you can knock that made up shite on the head straight away. He has faith in his nan-management skills as all top Managers do or they wouldnt be top Managers. This signing is transfer committee and owner led it appears. They think its perfect moneyball and a gamble worth taking due to how cheap he is.

I think its rather amusing that some of you here were, for the first 15 pages when Spurs we're in with a shout, bigging him up and downplaying his issues, saying what a bargain he'd be for that price etc etc.

Then, suddenly, on page 15/16 when it becomes clear Spurs are out and he's LFC bound, he's a wanker who is over-rated and has mental issues that nobody in football can help him with at all (After Suarez BR and Dr Steve Peters have as good a chance as anyone IF Mario CAN be rehabilitated in any way).

I did actually have some hypocritical posts to include here from certain people from before and after he signs for LFC but I'm too lazy to bother quoting them all and not that much of an arse believe it or not.

I can put up with people hating LFC and slagging us off etc, all normal rival fan shite, BUT I can't abide some of the fickle, two-faced, hypocrisy present throughout this thread. Its so brazen its embarrassing frankly.

(Fair play and my total respect to the posters who stood by their views and maintained he's shite and/or a liability throughout this thread even when it seemed Spurs were interested and not just when it was clear he was signing for LFC).

Not quite as good as Rooney's though...

I could understand it if Balo was an upgrade on what they have and were desperate for goals, but I'd take Sturridge over Balo all day, goals was not really a problem(even if you deduct Suarez's goals). Seems a very unnecessary risk to me.

Sturridge will still be the main starting ST BR has said and he knows this. he was fine with it with Suarez so don't see why it'd be different now.

Also, BR could decide to go back to the 4-4-2 diamond he utilised so well the second half of last season to accommodate both.

How are you going to fit Henderson, Gerrard, Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic, Sturridge and Balotelli in the same side?
