Why they keep persisting in comparing Suarez and Balotelli, fuck only knows.

Suarez, for all his rather noticeable faults, always gave full commitment to the cause and set a great standard from a work ethic point of view from the forward line down coupled with precocious talent.

Balotelli? Well, if he can be arsed then he's more than useful but is hugely ineffective when his head is still in the dressing rooms which was all too prevalent at City.

Suarez on a bad day was still a threat, Balotelli on a bad day is just a flat out liability

Wrong.

Rodgers isn't fussed on getting him so you can knock that made up shite on the head straight away. He has faith in his nan-management skills as all top Managers do or they wouldnt be top Managers. This signing is transfer committee and owner led it appears. They think its perfect moneyball and a gamble worth taking due to how cheap he is.

I think its rather amusing that some of you here were, for the first 15 pages when Spurs we're in with a shout, bigging him up and downplaying his issues, saying what a bargain he'd be for that price etc etc.

Then, suddenly, on page 15/16 when it becomes clear Spurs are out and he's LFC bound, he's a wanker who is over-rated and has mental issues that nobody in football can help him with at all (After Suarez BR and Dr Steve Peters have as good a chance as anyone IF Mario CAN be rehabilitated in any way).

I did actually have some hypocritical posts to include here from certain people from before and after he signs for LFC but I'm too lazy to bother quoting them all and not that much of an arse believe it or not.

I can put up with people hating LFC and slagging us off etc, all normal rival fan shite, BUT I can't abide some of the fickle, two-faced, hypocrisy present throughout this thread. Its so brazen its embarrassing frankly.

(Fair play and my total respect to the posters who stood by their views and maintained he's shite and/or a liability throughout this thread even when it seemed Spurs were interested and not just when it was clear he was signing for LFC).

Nah, mate. This was abundantly clear long before page 15/16. For years in fact.

Genuinely never ever rated this guy. What is he supposed to be good at ? From what I can tell his greatest attribute is taking a penalty.

Feel much the same about Di Maria and the Mancs. He is actually decent but 60m decent? No fucking way, i think he we fair ok but not much better.

So pleased he's off to Lverpool. He's got some talent but he's a fucking loon, who would fuck the harmony of any dressing room. And he doesn't always leave the sulking for the dressing room either. His appearance and scoring record isn't exactly exceptional either. And if he's dropped or isn't having it all his own way, he's going to be a major pain in the arse for Rodgers.

I would have lived with Suarez's shit all day long because he was a team player who played every game like it was a cup final against local rivals. But Balotelli just a egocentric loony toon.

Agree with all this, however his scoring record is actually pretty good. Although not being the big cheese and getting to take penalties and free kicks might have a sway on that.

How on earth are they going to use him? Home games only? Only bring him on away from home after they are 2-0 up?

Can you imagine if had played in the game last night? Liverpool's work ethic was superb, their quality wasn't. But would that intensity have been there with a passenger in the ranks?

The only thing I agree with @Toela65 on, is that is ultimately a moneyball signing, and a pretty good one. Even if Balotelli kicks off and turns into a disruptive bellend, there will a team out there that will pay £20m for him no danger.

Yep that's my view on this signing, they have got him for a good price and if it doesn't work out they will still be able to offload him back to Italy or whichever cash-rich club Mancini is managing for possibly a small profit. He'll be decent for them, but isn't a signing that should have us (or other teams) quaking in their boots, and I think they are going to have problems fitting all these players in.

Liverpool fan doesn’t like what he sees in Spurs fans’ thread? Whatever next? Have you alerted the authorities?

FFS get off your high horse, RAWK et al are full of rubbish we could spend our whole lives debunking. I don’t think people mind there being rival fans on here from time to time and quite enjoy it, but your constant corrections and sanctimony with regard to your beloved Reds are getting quite tiresome.

You’ll never live down “Suarez commits future to Liverpool by paying for a child-minder” so just give it a rest and enjoy the ride. I am sure it won’t be boring with Balotelli.

I cant.

He has the worst conversion rate in europe last year.

Minus dead balls he scored 14 goals in 50 games for AC Milan

He has been signed on a 3 year contract. In 2 years time he was

Like Adebayor it may seem teams will come for him but I don't think they will and he will go for a low price.

Where will he go next? He doesnt like Italy and would want to stay in england.

The fact is there where only a few top strikers available:
Martinez
Bony
Balotelli
Rossi

Now the clubs that owned them, wanted £20m+ except for AC Milan who were desperate to sell him. The AC Milan reaction has been one of reserved happiness, as Inzaghi believes he can create a team spirit in the dressing room and Vieri was shocked Milan got so much money, since he has been poor since the Euro's (though he did do well a season ago just not world class as people made out)

I think it could be a potentially good signing as he may realise it might be his last chance at a top club and he may buy in to the fact that liverpool is more than a club, etc. etc.

How is Bony considered a top striker? Yeah he had a good first season but so did Michael Ricketts.

Whilst true but his goalscoring record is consistent and I put him in there because Liverpool did try and sign him first
