That line up just stinks of mediocrity to me. Harry must be looking at out starting line up and thinking what has gone wrong!

2 defensive midfielders at home to QPR? Is this really what we have become?!

Same old problems today I reckon. We will once again create next to nothing.
I've just seen that in another post you said you are going to the match.

I suspect you'll be the first person to boo if we don't win.

Sad fact is that we are no stronger than we were last season when we were very average ! I genuinely thought we would look a stronger 11 this season, but we could of picked that side last season minus dier ?Let's hope poch is a magician !!!!
We need to judge such things in September.

The problem last season wasn't our squad though, and that was the annoying thing. We have a talented squad we just couldn't get it playing.

(Plus injuries, so many injuries...)

I'm sure I saw Sandro with the players when they were walking to the changing rooms.

No sign of Dawson and Andros though.

I see Jimbo's back on the Match Day thread -

- what little gems and pearls of wisdom will he have for us today I wonder!

Come on Jimbo, you've got Lilywhite blood in your veins, your love for the club runneth over and your knowledge and understanding of Poch's thinking is without equal.

So I guess you're going for a defeat again, just like last week eh?

Matt Phillips, signed him for £5m from Blackpool.

Interesting didn't see that coming but its a pretty negative move isn't it?

3-6-1 I reckon!

Happy with our side though, looks good. Would of liked to have seen Soldado start.

Townsend not even on the bench - speaks volumes that.

Think the thread "Have we been left behind?" Has been answered with that line up.

I think we will struggle to beat QPR at home let alone challenge for champions league places and trophies.

7th place beckons. Very disappointing isn't it.

Good lineup I think. Holtby was anonymous at best on the Wing, Chadli & Lamela cutting in, should smash a good few in

Technically Phillips is a winger so not sure how he'll cope playing through the middle... hopefully the same as Lennon does, anonymously lol

Yeah it's a good side, would have liked to see Dembele for Bentaleb but he can't be match fit yet.

I can only see Lennon being chosen ahead of Townsend for the off chance he can come on an stretch QPR's tiring oap defence.

Pochettino not afraid to make some big calls in the early stages of his tenure here...very positive that - IMO.

Bentaleb doesnt get near a top 4-5 side though ? Wouldn't even make any of their squads, all very well being patient but we at spurs are not patient and we want to play in champs league asap, we can't afford to be patient and let teams smash us 5 and 6 because we are nabil learn his trade in middle of the park. He isn't ready yet
