Some of those who are stating that Poch will be absolutely furious need to go and read about the constraints he was under at Espanyol and then think again... Working for us and only getting 5 new signings at £25m must in comparison seem unbearable.

Sandro's previous injury is why we 'sold' him.
He can and probably will be a big player for QPR but due to the nature of his injury and referred pain and linked issues to that he will also have a lot of time away.
Not ideal to let go of him but take into consideration his contract running down and later sell on value if he has another stop start season, his injuries and also what we have in the same role its a sensible yet not emotional decision.

I can understand the commerciality of the sale. However, he will be a big loss to the dressing room; a loss that may be more costly than the transfer fee.

In addition, we are trusting the opinion of our medical team; a team that are continually criticised (possibly unfairly, I don't know). I'd have preffered to give him a little more time to prove his fitness. The reduced fee for another stop/start season that you point out would surely have been made up for in the contribution he gives off the field?

Always down to injury, makes sense, he will be missed big time but no point if he only gets to be on spurs tv, long live the beast, great message he left for fans too. I would have been just that more content with a lwf, chadders aint really gonna do it against the big boys.

So he's not just the collateral human traffic makeweight in a global drug cartel deal gone wrong ?

I can't believe I read that so wrong.

We will struggle against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City but as of 11pm tonight we have a squad that can and should beat every other team in the league. Nothing shabby about that... for now.

Maybe some of those teams will even do us a few favours against that top 4. Stoke and Leicester have already snatched points.

A 3-0 dicking, losing a fan favourite and not bringing in a name to ease the pain is tough but that's where we are.

Between now and January is Poch's time to get the team playing in a way that only competitive game time can cultivate, and I believe he will.

Finally. Some more evidence here to get people to calm down. Thanks for doing it rapidly Jj, you potentially prevented further unnecessary flooding of emotion here.

Really? Maybe then you can highlight where I made an ability judgment on today's signing?

"Well, that all depends on whether this Stromboli guy is anywhere close to the same level."

I apologise profusely if I've read that wrong (and that's genuine too) - but be honest and tell me that isn't your doubt that he is not the same level as MS.

That Falcao deal was the first thing announced this morning and it still hasn't gone through. In the meantime Hull signed half of the Premier League. What on earth is going on with it?

I'm quite pleased that Chiriches and Mason are still at the club as I think both have the potential to be important players for us.
