Poch can only build so much. we won't get anyone of quality in Jan when was the last time we did that Holtby came in and hasn't played a full season in 2.5 years. if we can't make money on a player we won't sign him and it is hard to get cheap players in Jan. if its in Jan it will be Jay Rod and yes he can score but if he does really will i would think Levy will sell him for a cheaper player so he can make some money. so a good half season from him won't help us in the long run we need a consistent player that doesn't stand out to much if we want him to stay for more then 1-2 seasonsWe must look forward. All down to Pochettino now. He's a good coach and he's got enough to work with to have a progressive first season.
Today has sucked but a smaller squad will help us. Helps with morale and ensures each player gets more game time, and should therefore be able to step in more ably.
Should be easier for Poch to coach his philosophy to the lads. Should also be able to have a more consistent selection of subs. Hopefully we get more effective competition from the likes of Lennon/Townsend and Paulinho for the AM3 for example.
Hopefully Stambouli and Fazio will turn out great, which would be a big boost.
We need to follow the Liverpool approach and kick on in the January window now (as they did with Sturrdige and Coutinho). We should be able to act more effectively with less of a bloated squad.
Hopefully this is the groundwork for better things to come, we can but hope. COYS.
