How on earth is it possible to come to that conclusion? What you're saying is that 90% of the football club chairmen in the world are doing a better job than Levy. And that's just simply not true.
Ok. in 15 years or so under Levy, we`ve won 1 trophy. And probably the least prestigious of those on offer. We have failed to reach a single FA cup final. We have only played champions league football once. Most damningly of all, we have never finished above Arsenal. Not once. Unprecedented. Disgraceful. Every season we have had the scum from south London looking down on us. I would suggest that there is a 90% chance that the next chairman of Tottenham Hotspur FC, whoever it may be, is around 90% more likely of improving on this dismal record. Not 100%, i conceed that. But for a club of our standing to never finish above there local rivals is shameful. In the same period, Blues have finished above villa, Sunderland have finished above Newcastle, City have finished above Utd, Everton have finished above Liverpool. You can gloss over Levy///Enic all you like. But the facts are there. No new stadium, No increased capacity, and, most importantly, no success on the pitch.

Mate of mine is a cab driver and used to drive one of the Spurs Directors to the ground every week. They were having breakfast one morning when Sugar came in. Oh god it's Sugar, said one of them. He came over sat down ordered his breakfast, chatted shit while he ate it and then left without paying. He does it every time, said the same bloke.

I think Levy probably humours him.

Well i guess he is at least wearing a tie when he ambles in.....so he is a step ahead of Roman....

You do, of course, realise that the reason why we haven't finished above Arsenal is because they've been in the top four every single season? The examples you provide as comparison are completely irrelevant.

Take a look at the other 19 chairmen in the Premier League. How many would of those would you prefer over Levy?

Yep, no improvement and we've been completely shit. Some Spurs fans act like we have the right to be the greatest in the world. It's almost snobbery.

I see in the thread that Cain Hoy are making a purchase in Islington, is there any likely this has a negative bearing on making a bid for the club? Can't see why it should, but I wondered the significance of it being highlighted in the thread.

No it shouldn't. They are an investment company, if they don't invest/build/buy stuff they're not doing their job.

Yes quite, that was my assumption. I really look forward to hearing developments on this, my Spurs head says don't get too hopeful, be realistic and remember we are Spurs and never get the job done, and yet my Spurs heart say's, believe it this could be the chance we need. This thread has given me the realisation that we as a club are starting to struggle to hold on to the coat tails of the bigger clubs. I don't see them as "our" rivals, but I so want them to be. With Cain Hoy we would be so strong, and I mean that in the sense that financially we would have a team of investors that would not allow us to damage their investment, they would clearly invest in us to make us competitive and within safe margins.

And you do realize that in some of those seasons, just a little backing for whichever manager from ENIC///Levy would have probably resulted in us removing Arsenal from the top four you mention. Had they invested, instead of penny pinched, we would have finished above them at least twice. So your argument completely pisses all over your own bonfire.

So. Lets look at your list

50`s league champions, runners up twice, 3rd twice

60`s league champions, runners up twice, 3rd twice 1 european trophy

70`s 3rd place finish and a couple of league cups. One european trophy

80`s 3rd twice, 4th twice, 2 FA cups, 1 european trophy

90`s. Poor league form, but Fa cup winners, League cup winners.

2000+ Enic ownership.

Your Point !

If you're going to compare the 50s and 60s compared to ENIC's reign then they're never going to win :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I look at the facts. Things that are indeed black and white. I see no shred of evidence to suggest ENIC have been succesful owners. Certainly not by the parameters by which I would judge. The sooner they leave, and get their grubby snouts out of the club, the better. Thats my opinion.

In a thread about a possible purchase of our club where we can talk about a possible future, why do we harp back to grizzling about what could have happened in the past. FFS.

Can you name one thing that in your opinion Levy / ENIC has got right?

Facts, you say, but "we would've ended above Arsenal if ENIC had spent some money" isn't a fact. It's pure speculation.

Who was chairman in the 60's because we should bring him back and make him chairman again. Sorted.
