If you're going to compare the 50s and 60s compared to ENIC's reign then they're never going to win :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
No no no. I compared the whole post war period, right up until ENIC took control. Whats wrong with you. It`s clear. 50`s 60`s 70`s 80`s 90`s ENIC. What bit of that dont you understand.

. I see no shred of evidence to suggest ENIC have been succesful owners. .

That's the biggest load of crap I've ever seen on Spurs Community.

It's the "no shred of evidence" comment really.

There is evidence- it's called a rise in league placings compared to the 90s and consistently fighting for Champions League football.

"Special Agreement" with real Madrid, maybe.
Jeez mate, can you stop derailing the thread and take it to the other one!? Perhaps look at what potential Cain Hoy can give us as a club if they make a successful bid? There is another thread for ENIC and Levy bashing mate.

I`d love to see the take over by Cain Hoy. Surely the debate about our current owners and prospective new owners is intertwined. You cant really separate one from the other.

Agree.
Chelsea and City won the lottery. Pool, United, Arse have always been there. we have overtaken everyone else. What more can Enic do? we now are top 15 in the world economic wise. its not Enic fault we are 2 steps behind the above lot, its the shambles that happened during the 90's when we missed so many tricks.

No it is not, as there is another thread to discuss our current owners problems. This however should be a thread of potential optimism about our future.

Oh I`m optimistic. Just dont want to be let down by another false dawn. I`m normaly one of the most optimistic on here, just dont want to see this potential new dawn derailed only to find us left with the current incumbents and there sell to buy, no net spend, blame the manager each time strategy.

So. Lets look at your list

50`s league champions, runners up twice, 3rd twice

60`s league champions, runners up twice, 3rd twice 1 european trophy

70`s 3rd place finish and a couple of league cups. One european trophy

80`s 3rd twice, 4th twice, 2 FA cups, 1 european trophy

1990 - Sky TV started

1992 - Premier League and Champions League formed. Sky 4 established and commercial handicapping begins.

90`s. Poor league form, but Fa cup winners, League cup winners. Traditional business model no longer sustainable in face of changing commercial landscape.

2000+ Enic ownership and establishment of new business model. Domestic cup focus decreases as importance of Champions League qualification grows. Show steady increase in league performance and enter Champions League for the first time.

Your Point !

Fixed

What could Cain Hoy give us that Enic for some reason cannot?
Both have loads of money, but both want a good return on any investment.
IMO, CH are not going to bung in another £400m of their own money for the new stadium after paying off Lewis.
That is a fantasy only fulfilled by the filthy oil men.

Either the figures for a new stadium safely add up, or they don't.
If they don't, the owners will just stall and stall, whoever they are

It's got to a stage where this Has to happen for our club to move forward.

If it doesn't we will continue to fall as the clubs above us will improve and the ones below catch us up and then inevitably over take us.

ENIC are no longer fit for purpose. They are supposed to be an investment company. Where is the investment?

Can someone also explain to me why it took them 8 years to release the stadium plans? Even in sugars day it was obvious that our ground was not going to be fit for purpose.

Quite simply a take over has to happen. Either these guys or someone else who can improve us and get us competing again.

IMO we have the history and the potential with our fan base and brand to be amongst the very elite. We are historically a bigger club than both Chelsea and City , I would say potential we have always been bigger than Liverpool with our location.

United and Arsenal were both behind us commercially and on the field not that long ago. I can remember when gazza signed for us instead of United and believe it or not younger fans we used to be a much more attractive option than arsenal

Don't get me wrong I know we are currently behind all these clubs but with the right management and investment the sky really is the limit for our great club.
