Not the most important player? Are you trolling?...Until Mason and Kane came on we were fucking terrible, absolutely woeful and were well on our way to losing the game. We had created nothing, zip.

He was not our most important player, or most impressive performer. Where on earth you;re getting that from I have no idea, its extremely perplexing.

From our starting eleven............other than Townsend,Bentaleb and Naughton............name me one player better than those three tonight?

Honestly Didnt see that coming especially after watching first half that is. Wow can we please just ffs ff this 1 man band up front lark. How hard is it really to play two strikers. Then see a postive difference. Wish would play Bobby and Kane or even Lamela & Bobby up top sat fron the start...not to gurantee a result like.. but just so have fighting chance creating somethink instead of watching a re-run of tonights first half. Anyways Chuffed tonight trying to enjoy the moment!

Better than Dier at right back imo which is unsurprising seeing as he's really a cb
The thing is that I hope he has the strength of character to progress and I am not ashamed to say it, but there may be a very good player in there. He has been played out of position a lot and more often than not he has a decent performance. Decent may not be good enough for some, but in the context of the toxic atmosphere often found at The Lane that's good enough. Dare I say it, but I think he reads the game better than Walker.

While watching game tonight it occured to me that if we play 1 up front, given they rarely score, who in midfield IS going to score???
We just dont have any goals in us. Most wont even attempt a shot. Llamela and Eriksen may set one up or score 1 every 10 games. Townsend will have that many shots something may happen. And thats it if we keep going 4231. Defenses will be shitting themselves(n)
Imo got to go 2 upfront, Townsend Llamela on wings, Eriksen and Dembele in middle. Shit, no we cant, its not fashionable.
And maybe practice picking up players when defending and learning how to get the ball off the floor from a set piece.
There are people in the crowd who can take better corners and freekicks. Its embarrasing and ridiculous. Seriously wtf do they do all week?
Gonna be a long road back to anything promising. Long long road.
Fu#k Im a cheery bugger lol.;)

Maybe. Dembele for Mason might be more sensible. I hate all this 1 up front stuff.
We played 442 there last season and got simply outnumbered and over run in midfield, we aren't good enough to play 442 away from home at the emirates. It's a shame but we have to go there and pack the midfield and hope we can nick one

What I cannot believe is the hatred some of our fans show towards our own players, I understand criticism but some of the stuff said about some of our own just to point score for peoples 'favourites' is beyond me, if you think one player is better or more deserving to start ahead of another fair enough but it doesn't mean you have to 'hate' the other, no wonder the players have no confidence....onwards and upwards...COYS

Andros was our only and I mean only player who was causing any problems before AVB sorry I mean MoPo decided to get his head out of his arse and put 2 strikers on.
If anybody is trolling it is you and others with your hatred for Spurs players.

I don't hate any Spurs player. I like Andros, he's Spurs through and through. But I'm not going to turn a blind eye to the same performances week in week out.

What you need to do is grow up. All I read is this irrational defense of him, and its been going on for months. Anybody who dares says anything slightly critical and off you go.

Its fucking tiring.

For the people calling for 4-4-2, get with the program.

We have players that don't get that they have to work and fight for every result, and we have done for a considerable amount of time.

What we need to avoid is turning on the manager, and more so, turning on the players.

It's VERY early days for Poch and the influence over players that have been pushed from pillar to post.

we wake up after Forest take the lead
our midfield was screaming after some creative thing, and when Mason
arrived something happened, because he could move the ball in the right direction.

First half was very dull to watch, it was AVB football, sideways and sideways.

Naughton was solid
Townsend is involved in our attacking play.

3-1 is a very good result!!

Funny you think I need to grow up-somebody else cannot grasp the maths thing and thinks I am 200 years old.
Andros was good tonight.

Young ? 23years , that is when you should be at the top. Bentaleb is 19 and playes 3times more mature than Andros.

That doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain why you think Andros T should already be at the top now he has reached 23?
Does that mean any player would be considered over the hill at 24?
Ready for the glue factory at 25!
If so how do these players fit into your system of logic?

Teddy
Berbatov
Forlan

There are plenty of other world class players who hadn't made it to the top by age 23! Plenty of time still left for young Andros:cool:

And another thing, questioning someone's impact or performance in any game is not slating them. Its called a difference in opinion.

People who slag off players all the time is well out of order IMO, especially with no foundation. But discussing performance is certainly not.

I'm surprised some people think Townsend was MOTM tonight and had we lost I really don't think people would be holding the same opinion on his performance either.

I hear this a lot about Bentaleb and while he does pass back/sideways a lot, there is literally nothing else on the majority of the time! He does have some good through balls in his locker though and I said the other day I'd like to see him play more forward.

I have come to the conclusion that someone has been teaching the taking of corners using Subbuteo figures and our players have difficulties in understanding differences in scale.

Townsend needs to be more smart, instead of shooting he could try the opposite, playing a trough ball
instead, then he will be a hell of a player
